I regret to inform you that your consensus meetings aren't about alignment. They're about cover. Waiting for a unanimous vote. Pushing it to next week, again. It feels like teamwork. It's really fear, spread thin enough that nobody has to feel it. Own the call.
Underrated CEO advice: stop thinking harder and start seeing your thinking. Write the goal in one sentence. List your assumptions. Name the fear. Draw how it connects. Your mind can only hold a few things at once. Put it on paper and the noise drops. See it first.
You take that as proof nobody else can do it.
The standard creates the bottleneck. The bottleneck proves the standard.
Someone hands you their work.
You find the flaw.
You take it back.
Your team learns nothing is finished until you touch it.
Multiply yourself through ideas, systems, and people, not just hours. Linear effort gets linear pay. Leverage is what makes it geometric.
Find what actually works and do more of that. Right things first, then do them right. A handful of moves drive almost all your results.
Growth is unnatural. Left alone, everything drifts toward disorder, including your company. Progress means you are actively swimming upstream, every day.
If it is not proprietary, it does not scale. Pay for performance, not promises. What you reward, you get more of.
Business exists to create and keep customers. Everything that is not marketing or innovation is just overhead pretending to be important.
Protect the downside first. The upside handles itself when you are not busy bleeding out. Cut losses fast, let winners run, and treat this like a discipline, not a feeling.

Do not enter a business or a decision without a real plan behind it. Execute with precision, not hope. Plan your life with the same rigor you would plan a term sheet.
Out-think and out-prepare the competition before you ever sit down at the table. Know what the other side actually needs, not what they say they want, and never let them see you flinch.
Prepare for the worst so the worst never surprises you. Stay insured, stay hedged, and do not wait until the fire to buy the extinguisher.
