In athletic training, Ethan Saliba is the gold standard, as generations of student-athletes will attest. It’s hard to imagine UVA Athletics without Saliba, but his legendary tenure is about to end. He’s retiring after 43-plus years with @VirginiaSports.

It will never get old seeing @CarterLang_23, @_desmondroberts, and @_ChanceMallory all together for @UVAMensHoops.
“So many trainers are focused on trying to prove how much they know, so they overcomplicate drills, concepts, etc”
When the focus becomes how much they’re learning as opposed to how much we know, players start benefiting in huge ways💯
STOP OVERCOMPLICATING TRAINING
So many trainers are focused on trying to prove how much they know, so they overcomplicate drills, concepts, etc
These are clips from a 6th/7th grade girls workout … it’s the same drills and concepts we do with our HS and College Players - Live Situation, Attacking and Guarding Closeouts, give them reads and decisions to make, see what solutions they come up with to score the ball
The goal of development is to SIMPLIFY FOR PLAYERS
