I never imagined a world where physicians speaking up against the senseless murder of children, the killing of tens of thousands of innocent civilians would be accused of unprofessionalism. Yet, this is the reality that many face today — one that we cannot accept. We must continue to resist injustice in all its forms. #NotATarget #FreePalestine
Replying to @DCIPalestine
Israeli forces frequently deliberately prevented injured Palestinian children from receiving medical care. In 43 percent of cases in our report, Israeli forces detained and fired live ammunition toward ambulances, paramedics, and civilians attempting to provide aid.

Yesterday, I watched Naza. I did not go to learn what had happened in Gaza. I am from there. I am one of the victims of this war, one of its witnesses, and one of those who have paid a price that will not end when the war does. I did not need a film to tell me how entire neighborhoods were wiped away, how residential buildings were bombed with the people still inside them, or how families were forced to leave their homes without knowing where they were supposed to go. Nor did I need anyone to tell me about the famine. I lived through it twice, with all its humiliations, down to the smallest detail. Or about the starving people who were killed while trying to reach what were so absurdly called “food distribution centers.” I know all of this. I was there. Grateful to have the beautiful and devastating work of Rize Abdel Jawal hanging in our home. We carry our Palestinian brothers and sisters in our hearts and minds every day. Forever in solidarity.❤️ Please follow and amplify his work as a photojournalist in Gaza on Instagram: instagram.com/rizek_eldremle "History will one day record that a small city on the seashore stood for a thousand days against fire, hunger, siege, and death, and that people who were buried every morning still managed to rise every evening to rearrange their tents, to count their martyrs, comfort their children, and believe that no matter how long the night, it cannot erase one truth: that nations may be broken, but they do not die. Gaza, though burdened with rubble, will remain." - Rizek Abdel Jawad

Your definition of Zionism does not matter. Nor does mine. Zionism is defined by its material manifestations. The purpose of a system is what it does. And the Zionist system does racism and genocide. Simple. Please spare me the arrogant insufferable graaating Oxbridge debates. Your opinions are irrelevant. People are dying.

From 1975-1991, even the @UN officially recognized Zionism as racism. Obviously, Palestinians have been telling & showing the world the racist expression of Zionism on their bodies, homes & lands for decades before & since. Read the 1975 resolution: un.org/unispal/document/auto…
So the Greens have adopted a position that conforms to the ICJ ruling that Israel is an apartheid state - as Israel is the practical manifestation of Zionism - and the mainstream are in meltdown.

Wow, there's a giant NDA (non-disclosure agreement) up as a Nuit Blanche art installation calling out the silencing of curators and artists who've spoken critically of Israel. It's in the alley off Spadina south of Richmond leading to Cinecycle. By No Arms in the Arts.

Recorded months ago, this was the first time I spoke publicly about the anti-Palestinian racism I experienced at Sinai Health in Toronto, when I started advocating against the genocide in Palestine. The hospital hired a lawfirm that sponsors the Walk for Israel to oversee the process. What we go through is nothing compared to what our colleagues in Palestine are enduring, but the widespread silencing by our institutions is a tool that helps enable the ongoing genocide and we must collectively push back against it. Our colleagues in Palestine are still fighting for the health and liberation of their people, and we have a duty to stand in solidarity, take material actions, and keep throwing stones into the gears of genocide – until Palestine is Free. Thank you for the conversation, Everyday Orientalism (whose Twitter account was suspended...). You can listen to the podcast episode titled "truth telling in a time of genocide" featuring @MomodouTaal and me here 👇🏾 spreaker.com/episode/truth-t… 🇵🇸FREE PALESTINE🇵🇸
The " investigation " was conducted by Osler law firm- which annually funds the walk with israel- more than 2 years into Israel continues to commit genocide. "Genocide enabling apparatus"

You know who walks into a war zone everyday? Gazans. Give me a fucking break with this lousy and irresponsible writing and reporting.

I have not forgotten, and I will never forget, what Israel did to us when it bombed civilians who went to search for food from the trucks at a time when the famine had reached its absolute peak. This happened two years ago.

Imagine if he extended this much empathetic pain and grief to the victims of a genocide. And that’s the point. He is incapable. His deep pain and grief is for his own wounds first and foremost. Is that his right? Absolutely. He’s putting himself first and we don’t have to. The end.
You’ve probably seen Ed Sheeran’s (teleprompter-read, PR team-written) apology by now— here the part where he cried and apologized for the apology at the end of the concert👇🏽

I have been so fortunate to teach every year at the Islamic university of Gaza. The most talented, brilliant, courageous students on earth. Here they light their phones to graduate medical school. The concert hall they used to graduate In was destroyed by Israel
Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University of #Gaza light their phones during the graduation ceremony of the university’s 15th medical cohort in Gaza City, in a symbolic gesture reflecting the determination to continue education despite the devastation. During the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli military bombed, destroyed or damaged nearly all of the strip's university buildings. Good morning from Gaza, where the first thing we rebuild is education.

All my respect to @macklemore. Alignment with billionaire genocide supporters to silence someone who says "Free Palestine" is absolutely taking a side, @edsheeran. The genocide is still ongoing, and history will remember where you stood.

It’s crazy how bombing hospitals was a war crime until Israel did it over and over again. Now it’s barely a news story.
