Proud to support my @PublicLandBC colleagues at the very well-attended @AMEroundup event this morning! We’ve long been advocating for public access to public land, and this morning’s keynote address from @AME_BC hit home just how important that is for the mineral exploration sector. From closed-door decision-making, to veto-style ‘consent’ agreements, to putting decisions over public land (which belongs to ALL British Columbians) in the hands of small governing bodies that have no democratic relationship with the vast majority of citizens, the BC government has been headed down a disastrous path. That’s about to change.
