Tony congratulating Nebula for beating him at paper football in Endgame hits differently when you remember how she grew up. Every time she lost to Gamora, Thanos replaced another part of her body with machinery. She grew up learning that losing meant pain. Then Tony loses to her, shakes her hand and asks if she had fun. Imagine growing up like that, then meeting someone who’s happy you beat him.

Bro got smashed by his own punch and could barely stand. Shang-Chi just cooked the huge monster with the Ten Rings like it was nothing. And i still remember Hulk almost losing to Abomination years ago.

Do we all agree that the Thunderbolts deserve to stick around after Avengers: Secret Wars? I really don’t want them to be another MCU team that gets one or two projects and then disappears. I especially need more Sentry. Lewis Pullman was perfect for the role, and there’s still so much they can do with the character. Honestly, I’d even take a Thunderbolts project before Secret Wars at this point. 😭

The MCU almost had a completely different Taskmaster, and the actor who nearly played him has been quietly appearing in Marvel projects ever since. Before Olga Kurylenko was cast as the gender-swapped Taskmaster in Black Widow, O-T Fagbenle was one of the final two actors up for a completely different version of the character. Fagbenle confirmed his original audition was for a male Taskmaster closer to the comics, describing it as "a really incredible speech" featuring an African accent and what he called "a maniacal-like character." Somewhere during the writing process, that version of the villain was scrapped entirely. Screenwriter Eric Pearson has said the comic accurate Tony Masters, a hired gun with photographic reflexes who can copy any fighting style he witnesses, didn't fit the story Black Widow was becoming, one centered on Russia's Red Room program instead. Once his version disappeared, Marvel didn't send Fagbenle home. They offered him Rick Mason instead, Natasha Romanoff's fixer who supplies her weapons and a getaway jet near the end of the film. Fagbenle later returned as Mason in a small appearance in Secret Invasion, keeping the character alive in the MCU years after Black Widow released. He hasn't let go of the maniac he built in that original audition either. Asked directly why he was left out of Thunderbolts, Fagbenle said he'd still love another shot at bringing that version of Taskmaster to screen someday.

Damon Salvatore's character evolution through the people he hurt looking at this poster, I realized Damon has directly or indirectly hurt almost every single one of them. he killed some, nearly killed others, manipulated them, betrayed them or caused them unimaginable pain but what's interesting is that, over time, many of these same people became people Damon genuinely cared about Bonnie Damon spent a long time treating Bonnie like an obstacle, constantly clashing with her she's a witch, we know how much damage witches caused...but after being trapped together in the Prison World, their relationship completely changed. He became one of the people who would do almost anything to get Bonnie home Caroline Damon's treatment of Caroline in Season 1 was one of the darkest examples of his early behavior. he compelled her, fed on her and used her for his own purposes, leaving her terrified and traumatized. Years later, their relationship became surprisingly civil, and Damon genuinely cared about Caroline and her family Matt Damon never had much patience for Matt, but he crossed a major line when he snapped Matt's neck in front of Elena to force her humanity back on. Matt survived because of the Gilbert ring, but Damon deliberately used him as a means to an end Damon eventually came to see Matt as someone worth protecting rather than simply another human standing in his way Tyler Damon repeatedly put Tyler in danger and eventually killed him in Season 8 after Tyler confronted him about what he had become(his fault tho, Damon and Enzo were protecting them from Cade) Jeremy Damon snapped Jeremy's neck in Season 2, knowing Elena would be devastated by it. Jeremy survived because of his Gilbert ring, but Damon had deliberately crossed a line to get what he wanted. over time, Damon became protective of Jeremy and helped keep him alive when the supernatural world kept coming for him Alaric Damon once stabbed Alaric with a stake during a confrontation, only for Alaric's Gilbert ring to bring him back Somehow, the two went from enemies(trying to kill each other) to one of the funniest and most genuine friendships in the series. Enzo St. Johh (my Goat) Damon left Enzo to die in the Augustine facility, a decision that haunted their relationship for years. He also killed Maggie, the woman Enzo loved, further deepening the resentment between them. Despite everything between them, Damon came to see Enzo as a brother (imo) Elena Damon hurt Elena in ways that are impossible to ignore. he killed Jeremy right in front of her, repeatedly put the people she loved in danger, and even compelled her to forget their relationship because he couldn't handle losing her But Damon also loved Elena deeply and repeatedly risked his life for her and the people she loved. Stefan Damon's relationship with Stefan is probably the clearest example of his destructive side. He spent years blaming Stefan for his misery, killed Lexi But underneath all of it, Damon never stopped loving his brother, and eventually became someone who would sacrifice himself for Stefan. That's what makes Damon such a complicated character of the list of terrible things he's done is LONG. but so is the list of people he eventually learned to love, protect and sacrifice for.
Honestly, there are a lot of obvious topics in The Vampire Diaries, but one I think is weirdly underdiscussed is how much the show’s characters are shaped by guilt rather than morality.

Do you think Defender Strange was corrupted by the Darkhold's energy when the creature stabbed him through the leg, which is why he was suddenly willing to kill America?

In Iron Man 3, why did Tony have to use a car battery to power his arc reactor when Iron Man 2 already gave him a stronger, stable one that wasn’t supposed to fail like that?

The Ten Rings grant Xu Wenwu complete immortality and god-like physical strength for over 1,000 years, keeping him in peak physical shape. But the moment he takes the rings off to raise his family, he immediately starts aging at a normal human rate, yet keeps his thousands of years of muscle memory and vitality intact. If the rings only grant immortality while actively wearing them, why didn't his body instantly age 1,000 years and collapse into dust the second he took them off, like every other immortal artifact in fiction?

This scene is still one of the darkest moments in the trilogy. He wasn’t just removing the symbiote. He was ripping away the worst version of himself. And that’s why it hits harder than the dancing ever did.

Avengers Endgame gave us the Smart Professor Hulk. Now will Secret Wars give us a comic accurate Hulk, just as the comics actually described?

Rhodey “stealing” Tony’s suit in Iron Man 2 gets sadder when you remember what Natasha says afterward. She tells Fury the armor has safeguards against unauthorized use. Tony still insists Rhodey just took it. But Tony thinks he’s dying from palladium poisoning. He’s already made Pepper CEO, and now his best friend has an Iron Man suit. Neither of them knows he’s dying. That makes the suit feel like an inheritance Rhodey didn’t know he was getting.

Something about No Way Home has always bothered me: Why did Doctor Strange agree to the memory spell so easily? Wong literally warned him against it multiple times, and by this point Strange had years of experience with dangerous magic. This isn't Doctor Strange where he's still learning and doesn't fully understand the consequences. Why was he so willing to perform a spell this powerful just to help Peter?

Wait… Hulk is actually locked in a psychiatric hospital as of brand new day and everyone's just moving on like normal he fell off a building Mid-fight with spider-man, got taken away in an ambulance, and that's the last we see of him a news report confirms he's in psych care meanwhile doomsday is right around the corner and nobody's mentioned him since no clue how they're gonna pull him back into the story without it feeling rushed tbh

The MCU chemistry is unreal. 😂 He’s absolutely losing it over his own high-pitched voice. 😂 Tom Holland’s Spider-Man suit turned his voice into a squeaky echo. 😂 Jon Bernthal trying to stay serious made it even funnier. 😂

Do we all agree that Florence Pugh’s Yelena is one of the few new MCU characters who actually feels like she has a real bigger future? She carried Thunderbolts and still has room to grow beyond the Black Widow shadow. The MCU shouldn't just leave her sitting on the New Avengers bench after Secret Wars. A Yelena-led movie or even a smaller New Avengers follow up would actually do better than another crowded team up.

He turned Marvel down for years over money. This year they finally paid him enough John Malkovich just made his MCU debut in Fantastic Four: First Steps, but this wasn't his first offer. He confirmed he'd rejected multiple Marvel roles over the years, and it had nothing to do with the material. Multiple offers, multiple years, all declined for the same reason. Something eventually changed, and he finally said yes this year. It's the same pattern that's cost Marvel other talent. Jeremy Renner turned down Hawkeye Season 2 after being offered roughly half his previous salary. Marvel has long operated on the belief that the franchise matters more than any single actor. Some accept that. Malkovich just made them wait years before he did.
