High Court Grants Interim Protection to Masjid-e-Mohammedia Hyderabad, October 14: Justice S. Nanda of the Telangana High Court has directed the authorities not to demolish the premises or compound wall of Masjid-e-Mohammedia at Chintalmet, Rajendranagar, or take any coercive steps against the mosque. The interim protection was granted in W.P. No. 35219/2026, filed by the mosque’s Managing Committee through its president, Syed Basheer. Young advocate Saadat Ali Siddiqui appeared and argued for the petitioner.

Hyderabad: A Fast Track Special Court in LB Nagar sentenced Munawar Hussain, a native of Bihar, to life imprisonment in a POCSO case involving the sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy. The court also imposed a ₹25,500 fine and ordered ₹2 lakh in compensation for the victim. According to police, the incident occurred in December 2024. The victim’s family approached the Pahadi Shareef Police after the boy disclosed the alleged assault.
