For some reason, it feels like the season Elly De La Cruz is having is going severely under the radar. He currently ranks among MLB SS: 1st in OPS 1st in wRC+ 2nd in WAR 4th in HRs 4th in SBs 10th in OAA He’s 4th in all of MLB in WAR among position players. Unfortunately, it feels people dwell way too much on the negatives with Elly, without appreciating what we’re watching. We’ve seen his aged 21-24 season thus far, and everyone is ready to declare him a finished product or underwhelming. I beg of #Reds fans to start appreciating Elly for who he is, and how he impacts the game, rather than jumping to trash him every mistake he makes.
