On World Patient Safety Day, patient safety includes more than treating the condition that brought someone to their provider.
COVID-19 can lead to Long COVID, and repeated infections have increasing health impacts. Preventing exposure in health care settings is part of healthcare. Cleaner air, ventilation, filtration, respirators, and improved infection prevention policies all matter.
Patients should be able to seek care without leaving with a new illness.
Healthcare includes preventing the next infection.

A female Swan who fell ill and was taken to an animal hospital for treatment.
This is the moment she was reunited with her partner, from whom she'd been separated for 3 weeks.
Such a touching moment ❤️.
