Yesterday was special!! Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales came to visit @dadvengersofficial and joined us on one of our dad walks.
It’s great to know @earlychildhood are working to support dads though the #ShapingUs campaign.

Changing nappies might not be glamorous, but it’s one of those small moments that make the biggest impact. It’s like doing the dishes—except the ‘dishes’ are your kids, and the love you put in is priceless. 💪
What’s worse? When kids have no concept of time and stare at you for an uncomfortable amount of time, or when they do have a concept of time and count out 60 seconds exactly leaving you feeling like you’re on countdown? 🤣
Many new or expectant fathers have no idea how much their own mental health can potentially suffer during the postpartum period, which is why it’s so important for new dads to be aware that their own mental health might need supporting as well as mums.
Which is why we wanted to re-share a post written by the brilliant @MarkWilliamsFMH about perinatal mental health and getting support if you’re struggling.
The link to the post can be found below 🙏🏼

Did you know according to research led by the university of Leeds, that fathers can give their children an educational advantage at primary school by reading, drawing and playing with them.
Education can be a breeze for some kids, and a struggle for others, or a mix of the two. But regardless of that, we as parents should try to engage with our kids and their education as much as possible.
Which is why we wanted to reshare an old post written by Ian at @Tutorful for the dadvengers website, that has some great ways to support your child’s education.

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, and in support of such an important cause, we wanted to share this honest and thought-provoking clip from our award-nominated Dadvengers Podcast.
Mental health struggles don’t discriminate, and fathers often face unique challenges that can go unnoticed. We cannot stress enough how important it is to support fathers through their parenting journey, offering a safe space to share, reflect, and feel heard.
Let’s break the stigma together and remind every dad out there – you are not alone. Reach out, talk, and let’s keep lifting each other up. 💙 #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #Dadvengers #SupportFathers #YouAreNotAlone
Nothing quite like going on holiday as a parent. Gone are the days of packing the absolute minimum. The moment you have kids, you end up bringing everything AND the kitchen sink! 😂🤪
We all know that outdoor play is great, but we don’t necessarily know the benefits there are for us and our children.
Which is why we wanted to reshare a previous blogpost written by Helen Stroudly from @peeplecentre talking about the benefits of outdoor play. She also gives some great examples for any of you wanting more ideas for the summer holidays!

With the summer holidays approaching, it can be a time that lots of parents look forward to. However, it can also cause unnecessary pressure for a lot of parents due to things like work, other commitments or feeling like you have to have non stop activities planned.
We’re sure lots of you can relate to this! 🤣
We all become parents and try our best to help our kids grow and thrive as people… but sometimes the most basic things can still seem impossible
Like building furniture, or keeping plants alive 😅
One of the biggest cons to the warmer weather, is trying to wrestle tiny humans into having the right amount of sun cream on before leaving the house 😂🌞🧴
With Men’s Mental Health Week coming to a close, we wanted to reshare another old blog post from the Dadvengers website all about why it’s important to encourage the men in our lives to talk about how they are feeling.
Men’s mental health is something that is a huge priority to us at Dadvengers, which is why we want to help normalise asking for help and encourage dads (and all men) to speak up.
