The Dachman Audio DA 87i DIY kit includes a precisely measured NOS Fairchild 2N3819 JFET, selected for optimal output and harmonic distortion. We test each and every JFET we ship so you can spend less time measuring and focus your energy on building a beautiful U87 replica.
At the heart of our best DIY Neumann U87i replica kit is the incredible DA-K87 capsule. Featuring 6-micron American-made mylar and isolated brass backplates, the DA-K87 achieves a truly vintage tone complete with remarkably smooth highs and a balanced, natural tone.
Excited to announce the official launch of Dachman Audio and our first product, the DA 87i — a faithful replica of the vintage Neumann U87i. Available as a DIY kit or preassembled — pre-order now!
