Booked @RadissonHotels Heathrow for Aug 2026 with explicit "Free cancellation before August 13, 2026" terms. Cancelled well ahead of time, but now Radisson claims it's non-refundable and @AmericanExpress re-applied the charge. I have the receipts. Unacceptable customer service.

“Take-home pay remains a fifth lower in real terms than it was in 2008... We cannot be asked to negotiate in good faith for weeks, only to be told there is nothing left to negotiate about on pay." @fletchjack
After weeks of talks, the Health Secretary has made it clear he won’t improve the offer.
Resident doctors now have no choice but to strike.📍 15–19 June
This story in The Times is a lie.
Only the tens of thousands of resident doctor members we represent can agree a deal.
Our negotiating team has a clear mandate from our committee and members to get back around the table and that is what the Health Secretary needs to engage with. Time spent briefing out misleading accounts of events would be better spent getting a final deal done.

"Medicine can have extraordinary meaning. But it cannot substitute for being present in your own life. The world may need us as physicians.
But the people who love us need us as ourselves.
And that is the role no one else can fill."
Brilliant - and much love to you

Why does doctors pay restoration seem to cost so much? | BMA youtu.be/0Ki-_0M2IFw?si=ttsw… via @YouTube Hugely worrying successive governments @10DowningStreet persist in misrepresenting basic maths. It’s THEIR responsibility to provide beds & doctors. Credible offer, no strikes.
We could have made a deal to avoid this strike action, but the government moved the goalposts on pay at the last minute and then removed the offer of 1000 much needed training posts.
@ERunswickBMA on BBC Breakfast today talking about how we need a deal that is good for doctors and patients.
Today, doctors across the country are out taking strike action.
This dispute is driven by an entirely avoidable crisis on jobs and pay. Right now, resident doctors are facing a real terms pay cut and growing unemployment. They need jobs and fair pay for the work they do.
No one wants to strike. But without a credible offer on the table, doctors are left with no alternative.
