As a father of two, I can confirm that Steam Deck has been the best (and in many ways only) way for me to game these days.
Sleep/Wake is clutch when you have a crying kid with a dirty diaper 😅

Fantastic execution. Put those checkmarks on steam store pages even if the device I’m browsing on isn’t a steam deck! I wanna see the deck verified status of a game even if I’m browsing on my phone or regular PC!

One more thing - before starting on this video @KaciAitchison storyboarded it out for the team to see. The mock-up is too good not to share, so here it is in all its glory.

Hello, just a reminder that I am not on Discord - that’s fake Lawrence trying to scam you.
Valve Employees will never ask you for personal or account information, on Steam or anywhere else. You can safely ignore anyone who claims to have mistakenly reported you.

Happy Halloween! We had pumpkin carving contest at @valvesoftware so of course we had to pull out all the stops on the Steam Deck floor. (it works!)

Need instant proof that the Steam Deck is amazing? SegaSonic the Hedgehog is probably by far the coolest game I got working because we can utilize the trackpads in place of the track ball and it feels exactly like the actual arcade controls!

Hi all, a quick update on the Steam Deck Docking Station. Thanks to reports from the community, we've discovered cases where MST and FreeSync functionality still require work. The team is actively working on these bugs, and we'll be shipping software and firmware updates soon.

Real talk: you can like and appreciate both the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch. They need not replace anything.
Also real talk: the Nintendo Switch is still horrible to hold.

It appears people are getting VERY excited and both the 64gb and 512gb are currently back in reservation mode. This will be temporary to catch up on orders!

Getting some more questions about Dock specs. It’s got:
• MST (multi-stream transport), enabling multi-monitor support
• DisplayPort 1.4 + HDMI, supports up to 1440p 120 hz, or 4k 60 hz
• FreeSync support
• Easy firmware updates via Steam Deck
• 45W Type C power supply

✨ Yes, it's true: Starting today Steam Deck is available without a reservation! Order one now, and we'll ship it to you now. Look at all these Steam Decks rolling off the factory line. It's a beautiful thing. steamdeck.com

Because it’s dumb as fuck. If this had been in place a few years ago, we wouldn’t have USB-C *now*.
But get used to USB-C because it’s the last one you’ll know. There will be no more advancement.
Thanks, EU.
