You said a whole lot of nothing. Saitama can’t even destroy his own universe, yet you expect him to match up to someone that’s multiple infinite tiers above him INSTANTLY??? That’s an asinine take
I don't normally engage with these but it's factually wrong with both universal canons. It was absolutely spelled out in Gaoru vs Saitama in the comics. The curve looked cartisian logarithmic because saitama was effectively fighting himself. The text says "instantly surpasses".
The moment saitama experiences goku's god ki, he's goku+1. There's no arguing this. It's literally as written. There is one moment where Goku is ahead of saitama and it's not when he lands a hit, it's the instant he has intent. Gaoru is only injuring saitama because he was saitama a moment before, so the scale is slowly increasing. Goku could breathe on saitama and saitama is goku+1. That is literally how the character works.
Even in this fight as shown, Saitama is instantly multiversal destruction level as goku crosses the threshold after the first punch.
It's not "toon force" even, or "gag hero" it's just power scale as written, though those are both valid arguments too. Saitama surpasses the thing in front of him. The word "instantly " is used. Not "a moment later" the gaoru curve is because it's just saitama vs saitama. It would look like a hockey stick with goku, if the argument is that goku already has the power to defeat saitama in frame one, then also in frame one saitama tanks it, there's no avoiding that canon.
They both have infinite power scaling tho: so I propose it would be a stalemate and probably pretty fun for both of them.
Goku usually has to be defeated to surpass however so I imagine saitama would win round 1, and stalemate in round 2.
Also: the chart was from gaoru's perspective as he understood it, making him a bit of an unreliable narrator- beyond that, even on gaoru's chart, saitama is already ahead of the mode:saitama in frame one. There are panels in opm that show he already surpasses before any hit lands, so in no way is it possible for Goku to surpass him, because he IS Goku effectively immediately. If there's some kind of argument here that allows an unaware of saitama's power goku to have the upper hand at any point I would like to know because I don't see it. Especially if this hinges on goku having the multiverse level ki destructive force from base form.
Beyond that, ONE wrote Saitama as an absolute subversion of shonen power scaling. His entire conceptual gimmick is that limits do not apply to him, and any attempt to quantify him even with a graph just illustrates that he will immediately exist above whatever number you try to assign to him.
If you treat the graph as a relative visual metaphor by gaoru rather than a strict mathematical constraint, then the narrator's text that he surpasses any threshold instantly becomes the actual rule of his character.
And I'm more of a dragon ball fan more than an OPM fan, all that being said.

Posts like this keep trying to invoke some hidden point to Saitama that is being missed.
Plot Armor doesn't apply in a hypothetical VS. Debates
Regardless of Saitama's role in his series as a narrative plot device, he isn't in his story. So we estimate and quantify his abilities and compare it to Goku.
OPM fans instantly lose any argument when you have THIS nigga in your corner😂😂😂

The One Punch Man side of Goku Vs Saitama is so funny cause they spent years watching a grown man beat up toddlers and tried to say because of that he could box prime Bruce Lee

Hey ummm this is not the original one. This was done by bishanator on TikTok. Your ai thing disgusts me.
Yuta blitzed and oneshots Jotaro. And before the “BUT JOTARO IS FASTER THAN LIGHT AND HAS THE STRONGEST STAND”, we’ve seen Pucci, moving at Bullet Train speeds, blitz Jotaro. He can’t even physical move his body far enough during Time Stop to cover a large distance
You’re not a larper, Death Battle is just shit at representing Dragon Ball’s ACTUAL scaling. Goku is multiple dimensional tiers of strength above Saitama, they just presented it as if Saitama could catch up so that it wouldn’t look as lopsided as it really is

Saitama is a parody of Shonen and western comics, NOT a gag character. It’s like watching Arnold Schwarzenegger squash an ant, then go on to say that he could fight and defeat Kratos because of how easily he dealt with an ant
Having Goku win this battle is completely misunderstanding what makes the character of Saitama work. It's such a simple premise, too.
Seemingly insurmountable odds are presented for other very powerful characters to face. Villains are built up as major threats over the course of many chapters. Both the antagonists and the heroes are presented to be formidable and fight with all they have.
Then Saitama swoops in and either ends the fighting instantly or with very little effort. Only getting "serious" to further accentuate the joke. Rinse and repeat, thus the joke of series is complete.
Funnily enough, there is a Dragon Ball Super episode where Goku and Vegeta meet Dr. Slump's Arale, and she proceeds to beat the living shit out of Vegeta. They even blatantly comment that joke characters are unbeatable.

Saitama is strong for his verse but mostly fights fodder. THAT is the point of One Punch Man. It’d be like EoZ Goku fighting Saiyan Saga Vegeta. Ofc he’s bored, everyone is just weak. But when someone is as strong as him, he has to push himself
There was literally a chart that showed that Saitama needed time and effort to grow in strength. If his power was “automatically” stronger than his opponents, then the graph would show that. Instead, it showed an increase over time as his 3D potential in infinite
Even IF you want to say that it’s a shared feat, he was affecting multiple infinite universe sized realms and absorbed that power into his base. The void realm is even MORE crazy because it’s a realm devoid of time and space, and is also infinitely spanning. Saitama-
