• EPA/Dropback: +0.332 (4th)

• Sack Rate: 9.0% (5th)
• Comp % Under Pressure: 50.0% (7th)
@CALEBcsw is HIM.
People will tell you Matthew Golden is better than Luther Burden because he has more yards and catches.
Golden leads the NFL in drops despite being top 5 in targets.
Luther Burden vs. AtL ran 18 routes and had 8 targets.
More opportunities don’t automatically mean you’re the better player. That’s why advanced analytics matter.
Luther Burden ran just 18 routes.
He got targeted on EIGHT of them. 👀
Three Week 6 WR performances that get more interesting beneath the box score 👇
✦ Luther Burden III — CHI
44.4% targets per route. Eight catches, 95 yards and 5.28 yards per route, with 49 yards coming after the catch. Limited routes, huge involvement whenever he went out.
✦ Jaylin Noel — HOU
Four targets produced 107 yards and +9.34 receiving EPA. Every target became a first down or TD. His 18.2% target rate wasn’t huge what he did with those opportunities was: 4.86 yards per route.
✦ Carnell Tate — TEN
64.9% of TEN’s air yards and a target on 31.8% of his routes. Four of seven targets produced first downs. His 70 yards came with 3.18 yards per route and +5.80 receiving EPA.
Burden demanded the ball. Noel made a handful of chances count. Tate carried most of TEN’s downfield opportunity.
Three very different reasons to pay attention.
📊 Statyx Data Lab / Route IQ
Massive 4th down. Horrendous call.
@NFLOfficiating has some serious explaining to do.
Calls like this are ruining the game.
Caleb for MVP is happening, isn’t it?
Caleb Williams missed three games, came back from a hamstring injury and immediately put himself in the CHI record book 🥶
📈 30/36 Passing
📈 305 yards
✅ 1 TD, 0 INT
💎 111.2 passer rating
That 83.3% completion rate is the highest by a CHI QB on 30+ attempts since at least 1950 🤯
What I like is the efficiency alongside the accuracy. He averaged 8.5 yards per attempt while completing five out of every six throws. CHI got 95 receiving yards from Burden and another 65 from Loveland.
The offense finished three drives with rushing TDs, so the single passing touchdown undersells his afternoon.
CHI wins 31–23. QB1 returns, clears 300 and sets a franchise benchmark.
Three games away. Six incompletions back. Hell of a return 🐻
Jonah Jackson:
• 212 pass-blocking snaps
• 0 sacks allowed
Joe Thuney:
• 212 pass-blocking snaps
• 0 sacks allowed
Darnell Wright:
• PFF’s No. 2 ranked tackle out of 72
Not a single Bear. At some point, you have to wonder what exactly they’re grading.
I’m seeing a lot of “you can’t analyze Caleb Williams’ stats off 7 quarters.”
That’s exactly why advanced analytics matter…..because you actually can.
It’s not just who has more yards, TDs, or better numbers on a stat sheet.
It’s about what a player did with the opportunities they had, whether that’s 7 quarters or 7 games.
You have to look at their role, how they perform against different coverages, what defenses are throwing at them, and how effective they are in those situations.
Helping you understand what the numbers actually mean is what @statyxio does.
I’ve barely scratched the surface of everything it has to offer but I’m excited to keep breaking down the game from both a 10,000 foot view and under a microscope.
Caleb Williams’ first game back after tearing the same hamstring?
He broke the Cotton Bowl record.
37/52 passing. 472 yards. 5 TDs.
The Falcons aren’t ready.

Bears fans must be happy seeing Kalif Raymond ranking better than GB's WR1/WR2 😅
Kalif Raymond ranks 2nd in the NFL in Catch Percentage and 5th in Separation (@statyxio)
Throw it his way, and he’s coming down with it.
He’s producing like a top 10 WR in the NFL right now.
Caleb got Aikman fired lmaooooooo
Troy Aikman this morning on @dfwticket about rumors of tension between him and Joe Buck.
“There’s probably a time and a place for all that. I don’t know if now is the time. I don’t know if it’s hard to figure out kind of what happened. I’ll broadcast through this season and I’ll be a free agent at the end of the year and kind of see what happens. I’m looking forward to whatever the rest of this season does hold and the Super Bowl and all that and where my next landing spot may be.”

Never forget how ELITE Jaylon Johnson was in 2023. One of the best CB seasons in NFL history.
What happened?
We just gonna forget this?
We need answers @NBAxJay1
Swift was MORE efficient vs. the Packers than in Weeks 1–4:
• Higher EPA per rush
• Higher rushing success rate
• 22% explosive run rate
Yet with Monangai out, Swift had just 9 carries. Roschon had 5 for 6 yards after entering the game with just 4 carries all year.
Swift clearly isn’t 100%. If Monangai can’t play this week, Ryan Poles needs to make a move at RB.

Ever wonder if Chicago’s weather is the reason the Bears have NEVER had a 4,000-yard passer?
Toughest Weather NFL Stadiums (Cold, Wind & Exposure):
1. Chicago Bears
2. Cleveland Browns
3. Buffalo Bills
4. Green Bay Packers
5. Kansas City Chiefs
6. New England Patriots
They don’t call it BEAR WEATHER for nothing.
