“I said from the start the leopards had sharp teeth, I just thought they’d bite other people’s faces”
ANDREW BOLT: I said from the start that Donald Trump was a liar, a bully and a man of low character — but I thought this vicious dog could still bite the right people. Now this buffoon has betrayed us all, and Australians should be especially afraid > bit.ly/4sa9Kto

When we started responding to Russia’s operation against our data centers, and when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer bots. And it’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from – if they disappeared when Yandex went offline. This proves, again and again, that Europe is not the source of the problems. Europe is not the one making everything more difficult. Most importantly, we need people in America, every morning, when the day in Europe is already moving toward evening, to really see what is happening. To see the truth. From a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum. (3/3)

I was disappointed by his comments suggesting Abdi-Wali was selected because she's a Black woman in a headscarf. She has lived locally all her life and is the leader of Camden Council - as strong a background for a local MP as you could ask for. By all means call her a career politician. Say she backed Starmer with one eye on the seat. The whole party had to, and that's how you get selected in a legacy party. Say she didn't speak out on the issues you care about; question her record; demand scrutiny; All fair game. But suggesting she couldn't hold her own views, or couldn't have got where she is on merit, because she's a woman in a headscarf? That’s cynical and sexist. It’s also manipulative to explain the Greens' struggle to campaign against her as progressives being too soft to criticise a former child refugee. She's a 42-year-old woman running a council with a budget of over £300 million. The Green argument can’t both be “we must have more global majority people elected” and when another party elects ‘global majority’ politicians to turn around and say “oh these are all over-promoted puppets”. This is why identity politics is unworkable.
Pretty toe-curling listening to Green Party MP Ellie Chowns be challenged about the views of her own deputy leader Mothin Ali.

I can’t stress enough that this would mean the complete extinction of human culture. You need art because it connects you to all who’ve gone before you; it challenges you to embrace perspectives not your own. Media generated to your exact preferences is the death of the soul.

Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.

You cannot spend your life paying British low tax rates, and insisting even they are too high btw, only to demand a Danish-like state pension upon retirement and expect younger working people to pay for it. Fuck off.

It’s an enormous waste of time to argue with people who think AI is sentient and deserves rights. You should ridicule these people mercilessly and deny them ever exercising power or influence over anything no matter how trivial.

This hugely complex sanctions regime coordinated and announced alongside 12 different nations was done to coincide with a by-election apparently.
Settlers have been building in the West Bank for decades. But yeah, the launch of the Holborn and St Pancras by-election campaign is the right time to impose sanctions.

I don’t use this world lightly but Nathan Fielder is a genius. Arguably the biggest genius to emerge from the TV/movie landscape since Curb era Larry David. Very excited for this
YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING, a documentary by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. Featuring Elizabeth Holmes. Only in theaters this October.

Benjamin Netanyahu's son now criticising Britain for bombing Germany during World War Two.
Dear Brits, You got offended by my comment about the Falkland Islands—a bunch of rocks 8,000 miles from your shores? Good. Now imagine how we Israelis feel about your government’s recognition of “Palestine” over our ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria, its denial of our sovereignty over our capital, Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights, and its constant meddling in our internal affairs and bashing of our country. These lands are in the heart of our country, which is already roughly the size of Wales—not lands 8,000 miles from our shores. Your government criticizes our country’s response to October 7 in Gaza, while it is clear that if your country had been invaded by a terrorist group that killed, raped, tortured, and kidnapped thousands of Brits, while firing thousands of rockets at your cities—as we experienced on October 7—your response would have been much harsher. Britain flattened Germany during World War II, killing millions of German civilians. The casualties caused by British forces in Afghanistan and Iraq were also much higher than those in Gaza, despite the fact that neither of those countries had attacked Britain or posed a direct threat to Britain. Since the biggest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust on October 7, we have experienced nothing but hostility, antisemitism, and blood libels from your government. An alliance goes both ways.

This is actually insulting to labouring women.
Sterile water injections are a drug-free pain relief method used during labour for reducing intense lower back pain. A small amount of sterile water is injected under the skin in four places on the lower back. 🗞️Click for the user information leaflet bit.ly/4wT3xCV

Do all the things we've been doing, with some more "Fury" titles, and also nuke Pickaxe Mountain. You got your war. It was an "epic" fiasco. Do the honorable thing and go away. You increasingly sound like you should be in a mental asylum.
Keep the blockade. Intensify Operation Economic Fury. Direct the intelligence community to prepare Operation People’s Fury. Widen the regime’s internal fractures. Expand Project Freedom. Build alternatives to Hormuz. Develop options to neutralize the Pickaxe Mountain threat.

This makes a serious point. The 'white Brits will be in a minority by 2065' is a trope designed to go viral on social, to be repeated uncritically by shysters who know how it misleads. All based on a definition of "White British" that would exclude the King. Or Nigel Farage's kids.
"Do you think the monarch of this country is a white Briton?" @bbcnickrobinson asks Restore Britain's Rupert Lowe about a report he quotes, that defines a Briton as someone with two white British-born parents.

Over the next few years you are going to have to fight with everything you’ve got to retain your humanity. They will try to convince you to give up connecting with each other, to give up truly being alive. It will be the most important fight of your whole life
cool use case of chatgpt work i heard last night: connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests. every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc.

The fact that Ossoff was smart enough, even in the midst of 2020-era peak woke, to say no to things like Defund the Police, Green New Deal, etc, is a sign that he understands how to win swing states in a way most national Democrats do not.
