The #A419 is closed northbound between the B4534 (#Swindon) and B4040 (#Cricklade) because of a vehicle fire. Emergency services are on scene and working to release traffic caught in the incident. There are delays of 10 minutes and 1 mile of congestion on the approach.

At lunch time today crews from Trowbridge and Melksham released 1 person from a road traffic collision in Edington. The casualty was then taken to hospital by road ambulance whilst 2 other casualties received first aid at scene. Police remained on scene to await vehicle recovery.
