I’m now posting film thoughts over at Bluesky — now at thereelbits! Come hang out: thereelbits.bsky.social
This 1998 book was pitched with the title 'The World Is Not Enough' but Gildrose didn't think it was 'Bondian' enough. The third Pierce Brosnan film came out with that title a year later. That's just one of THE FACTS OF DEATH in the latest #007CaseFiles! thereelbits.com/2024/01/22/0…
It's been 75 years since SO DEAR TO MY HEART was widely released to US cinemas. It's a film that showed Walt's attention to detail in live action - and may have connections to an iconic theme park railway. thereelbits.com/2023/12/20/d…
The biggest controversy on my strata committee this week is a spilled bag of foam beans and I swear I might be living in Stars Hollow.
The expanded LETTERS OF J.R.R TOLKIEN take the total count 500, giving us an additional 50,000 words by #Tolkien. From 1914 to 1973, they're alternatively intimate, charming, naive and cantankerous. In other words, they paint Tolkien as a complete human. thereelbits.com/2024/01/19/t…
I see stuff like this getting traction. Inflation would mean Avengers (2012) would cost $227 million in 2022. She-Hulk was also 309 minutes long. Both facts one can Google in under a minute.
An interesting mix, and (as an @OFCS member) I am glad to have been a part of the voting process again this year. Now the voting begins again!

R.I.P - Lee Sun-kyun, such a talented actor. My thoughts are for his family and loved ones.
#ICYMI: The year is almost over, so it's time to look back at my favourite films of 2023. Here's 23 films, a Disney journey and some waffling about the future. #Bestof2023 @ofcs thereelbits.com/2023/12/24/b…
Hmmm....Disney+ seems to have removed the ability to watch 'Muppets Christmas Carol' with the extended love is gone sequence...
A toast to Christmas Eve - and a moment of silence for Nakatomi Plaza. #DieHardIsAChristmasMovie
Here's my contribution to the influx of 'best of' lists for 2023. This list is very much about what I personally like. As always, if it’s not on this list I’ve either not seen it, didn’t like it or it wasn’t quite in my Top 23. #BestOf2023 thereelbits.com/2023/12/24/b…
