a big reason why there’s such a visceral reaction across the country to that game is because it introduced the non-fan to hockey guys. 24 yr old with the game winner, no teeth, just talking about how much he loves his buddies and wanting to do it for the guys before them.
was on the fence about whether I’d try to get my kids playing hockey, but watching the game with my 1 yr old son, everything about that team made me want him to have a childhood with hockey in it. No other sport has what it does

Here are highlights of MLB’s continuing partnerships with FOX, TBS, Apple TV, and MLB Network
ALT FOX/FS1 will continue as the home of the World Series, LCS and DS games, All-Star Game, 2026 World Baseball Classic, and select regular season and special event games. TBS will continue as the home of League Championship Series and Division Series games, plus regular season games on Tuesday nights. Apple TV will continue to stream “Friday Night Baseball” doubleheaders throughout the regular season. MLB Network will continue to air live games and its Emmy award-winning studio shows.
MLB has formed new three-year media rights agreements with Netflix, NBCUniversal, and ESPN.
The agreements, which cover rights for the 2026-2028 MLB seasons, mark the return of NBC to regularly airing MLB games on its broadcast network for the first time in 26 years, will expand Netflix’s engagement with MLB from documentaries to live baseball event coverage for the first time, and will extend MLB and ESPN’s long-term relationship to 39 consecutive seasons.
