Ethereum researcher Justin Drake has told the crypto industry to enter “bunker mode" for security: to move the bulk of your BTC (and other crypto) to fresh addresses that have never signed a transaction - so the public key stays hidden behind a hash.
Once you spend from one, move the rest again.
The concern is advanced AI / math could break Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) before real quantum computers arrive.
Not panic, not a rush - just controlled migration starting with large holders.
Smaller wallets may get partial cover from “Satoshi’s shield.”

Your headphones might be leaking more than you think.
Researchers just demonstrated InjectEave, a new electromagnetic attack that can recover audio playing through wired and wireless headphones from as far as 30 meters away - even through walls - using commercially available radio equipment.
They tested everyday models from Sony, Apple, Philips, UGreen, HP and others.
With a modest extra amplifier (around $400), range jumped from a few meters to 30 m.
The same technique also works on some landline phones and even smart-home devices like fans and lamps, leaking activity patterns.

Google just patched Chrome’s 6th zero-day of 2026.
If you haven’t updated your browser in a few days, do it now:
One click in Settings → About Chrome.
One of the easiest wins in cybersecurity is still to update the thing you use all day.

🚨 Quick cyber tip that actually works:
Phishing emails (and texts) are getting scary good thanks to AI.
They look legit, sound urgent and often drop the usual red flags.
Do this instead of relying on your eyes:
1. Hover over links (don’t click) to check the source.
2. If it’s “urgent” or asks for credentials / money / access, verify out-of-band (call or message the person on a known number/channel).
3. Enable passkeys or multi-factor authentication (MFA) everywhere you can.
One extra 10 second check beats hours of clean-up (or worse).
Have you spotted any phishing attempts lately?

Shoutout to all the cybersecurity folks (and hobbyists) grinding even on Saturday nights - patching, learning, or just reminding family about scams.

It's Saturday night - prime time for "quick" online shopping, sketchy links in DMs, and "free WiFi" at the bar.
Cyber criminals love weekends too.
Here's a quick checklist:
- Hover before you tap.
- No urgent 'your account is locked' texts.
- Using public WiFi? VPN up!
Your future self (and wallet) will thank you.

The World Economic Forum's Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2026 paints a clear picture - cyber risks are accelerating in 2026.
Unsurprisingly, AI is noted as the primary game-changer (cited by 94% of leaders). But it's a double-edged sword: supercharging both defenses and attacks.
Core message from the report:
"Cybersecurity is a frontier where collaboration remains not only possible, but powerful."
Resilient leaders are investing in threat intelligence, supplier assessments, incident simulations with partners, and governance that keeps humans in the loop on AI.
The winners won't be those never hit - but those who recover fastest.
Bottom line for 2026: balance innovation with security, close the cyber inequity gap, and treat resilience as a shared ecosystem responsibility, not a solo sport.
