Seeing criticism of the ranked changes in Avatar Legends. The uncomfortable truth is that if you can't climb in a glicko based system without dodging lower ranked players, you don't deserve to climb further. You have plateaued and have things to work on.

Current Tokon Scrubs: There is too much happening on the screen and we cant see. The assist is too much.
Tokon Devs: 3 to 5 second cool down per your request.
Current Tokon Scrubs: We hate the cooldown 3 to 5 seconds is too long.
Sounds like someone dont know how to play neutral LMAOOOOOO.
UP BACKING AND ASSIST SPAMMING WILL NO LONGER SAVE YOU.

I hate patch culture because this game no longer exists. I cant just go back and play it like I do with older fighting games. The game's just gone.
People complain about not enough changes to sf6 but I celebrate it. You dont want the game you love to dissappear.

It sounds so easy but the # of people that would rather shit on a game than just focus on what they like still blows my mind

there is no game that will save the community
everything starts from the games being fun, enjoying comp, and connecting through events
new games help with this but it's never the game alone
Hook and Obama’s conversation about Tokon was interesting and needed. Obama talks about how Hook can have a positive impact on the community by bringing people together to do something dope instead of contributing to the dooming since him and many others wants the game to “boom”. Unfortunately though, everyone thinks that this “boom” is suppose to just happen and now can’t happen because of the game’s rocky start but that’s far from the truth.
How a community talks about a game and share their experiences significantly impacts its reach. The Brian F vs Odom ft 100 is a clear example of that. So as a creator and even just a community member you can influence that. This was part of the reason DBFZ saw success and why SF6 exploded in Japan. The communities felt contagious and people just wanted to be apart of it. The same can happen for a game with a rocky start but for some reason we just don’t see this. Somehow we don’t see we control that narrative when we are controlling it right now.
Again this isn’t to ignore the issues with the game or a lot of these games. But when are we going to get past this and start making cool shit happen because it’s clear a “savior” isn’t coming? There’s a lot that can be done with the games in front of us and we can create the motion we want but it seems like a lot of us just want it to happen instead of making it happen.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of the great Peter Cullen. It was always such an honor for us at ILM to hear Peter’s mighty voice breathe life into our work on Optimus Prime. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and all who looked up to him.
