A university that pats itself on the back for being so ethical it can't possibly post on X any more, yet closes academically high-rating departments and makes esteemed scholars redundant. That's the shallowness of our time for you.
A once fine university. Shame on you @UniofNottingham

And if you'd rather a spot of Puccini tonight instead, the fifth episode of Lives in Song season 2 airs from 6pm CET. @DRindom and host Flora Willson trace the composer's later years starting with the disastrous premiere of Madama Butterfly in 1904. ➡️ youtube.com/watch?v=kQX3bxnL…

Hugely excited to be involved with this project - the first time in over a century that the complete final version will be heard, with fantastic music that will be unknown even to Puccini lovers!
Finally! We can reveal that our 55th season full-scale opera production is the revival of the final 1921 version of Puccini's La rondine. @CarloRizziMusic conducts @BBCSO with a cast led by @ErmonelaJaho @BarbicanCentre on 5 December. Studio recording to follow of course too 🎶

In the comments section of the Mitsuko mic drop you find this predictable zombie cliché. First, it wasn’t Thelonious Monk. Second, dancing about architecture would be amazing — isn’t architecture all about the dance of forms and lines?
