The evidence has been mounting for decades. Even the biased anti-#2A media can't suppress it forever. At some point, what Lincoln called "public sentiment" should drive policy away from disarming law-abiding citizens who take on the grave responsibilities of carrying a gun.
Remember, there is absolutely no evidence that those with carry permits are any sort of criminal threat. Antigun states to include California, Hawaii, and New Jersey have all conceded this point IN COURT when they failed to rebut data presented by our side.
And even the RAND organization, certainly not pro-gun, conceded that “evidence generally shows that, as a group, license holders are particularly law abiding and rarely are convicted for violent crimes.”
So refusing to exempt those with carry permits from school zone bans has absolutely nothing to do with safety.
It is simply about harassing a disfavored group at the behest of Giffords and Everytown.
