A good buddy of mine did his PhD on this and now works on WiFi spatial mapping at a big tech company and It’s way more accurate than you’d imagine. You can map an entire college campus in real-time like Batman just with WiFi. Crazy stuff
breathing is enough to give you away
each breath slightly changes how Wi-Fi waves reflect off your chest. with the right receiver and processing, those tiny changes can reveal your breathing rhythm
the graphs in this animation use real WiRe-Breath recordings: orange is the rhythm extracted from Wi-Fi, gray is a reference breathing sensor
i broke down how this works, and what else you can pull out of the radio waves around you, in the article below ↓

New research shows alcohol triggers immune cells to dismantle the structural scaffold supporting neurons, showing heavy drinking causes rapid cognitive decline and brain damage.
For decades, neuroscientists assumed that alcohol's acute sedative effects and long-term toxicity stemmed entirely from direct interactions with nerve cells.
However, a new study led by researchers at the Cleveland Clinic reveals that heavy drinking causes the brain's resident immune cells, known as microglia, to completely change their behavior.
Within just one hour of heavy alcohol exposure, these caretaker cells retract their protective branches and begin aggressively stripping away the extracellular matrix—the vital physical scaffold that holds neurons in place, stabilizes synaptic connections, and ensures efficient neural communication.
This active dismantling of the brain's structural matrix directly drives classic symptoms of intoxication, including motor impairment, loss of coordination, and sedation.
Over time, repeated binge-drinking cycles cause cumulative matrix breakdown, leading to permanent loss of synapses and cell death in the frontal cortex. Remarkably, when scientists disabled a specific microglial signaling protein called MyD88 in animal models, they completely blocked this matrix degradation and shielded brain cells from damage despite identical blood alcohol levels.
Tissue samples from individuals with alcohol use disorder showed similar structural breakdown, highlighting a promising new therapeutic target to mitigate alcohol-induced neurodegeneration.

Why do so many patients report tolerating bread, pasta, and pizza better in Italy and France than in North America or Australia?
Fascinating presentation by Prof. Detlef Schuppan suggest a possible explanation: wheat varieties used in France and Italy contain several-fold lower levels of allergenic proteins. #UEGWeek

🚨 DRISCOLL’S WHISTLEBLOWER SPEAKS OUT ABOUT PESTICIDE OVERUSE ON BERRIES
David Harada was Driscoll’s Manager of Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance. His job was to make sure the berries families were buying met pesticide safety standards.
Now he is blowing the whistle.
Harada says he began finding problems with pesticide over-application on Driscoll’s growers’ crops and repeatedly brought his concerns to management.
But according to his lawsuit, instead of asking how they could fix the problem, a director asked whether the company had “plausible deniability.”
Harada also said that Driscoll’s removed pesticide compliance safeguards from its internal system — safeguards designed to make sure enough time passed between pesticide application and harvest so residues could break down.
He says he continued raising concerns and ultimately faced retaliation.
This is why Moms Across America continues to insist that food safety cannot be left to corporations to police themselves.
Berries are some of the most frequently consumed foods by our children. Our children are eating berries drenched in pesticides that are over the already too high safety limits set by our EPA.
