Of course not, & we’ve known this for a while. All kinds of conflict of interest science not least of which has anything to do w/ Certor Sports (company that makes VICIS & Schutt) partnered with GC themselves No independent study has ever shown benefit bjsm.bmj.com/content/59/4/25…
Do Guardian Caps actually prevent concussions? @ChrisNowinski1 tells @PabloTorre why the story "appears to be a bit of a scam": "[The NFL's] own published study showed it wasn't true." "They love that the public sees the Guardian Caps because it's basically virtue-signaling."

As many of our best physios on here will tell you... Quad ACL grafts are not the best and are not ready to replace BPTP as the gold standard. The QT group had a higher overall reoperation rate (19.2%) than the HT (8.9%) and BPTB (6.9%) groups (P < .001), driven by extension deficit or pain (11.9% vs 5.5% and 4.7%, respectively; P < .001). QT grafts remained independently associated with reoperations for extension deficit or pain after adjusting for confounders (odds ratio [OR], 1.96 [95% confidence interval (CI), 1.44-2.67]; P < .001). The QT group demonstrated lower odds of achieving the minimal important change than the HT (OR, 0.56 [95% CI, 0.41-0.77]; P < .001) and BPTB (OR, 0.48 [95% CI, 0.32-0.72]; P < .001) groups.

Can anyone help me find a good sports PT for a college quarterback who is 12 weeks s/p MCL repair/MPFL recon around Knoxville or Johnson City, TN? Kid is crushing it, but doesn’t have a lot of resources where he is in Greeneville. Would be awesome if the community could help out.

Column: While people overreact to a small segment of the College Football Playoff, keep in mind that blowouts happen in all playoffs, at all levels. Including to power-conference teams in the CFP. bit.ly/4ayohIB

This would hit a lot harder if this hypocrite hadn’t been one of the worst offenders in recent years.
Absolutely nobody whose opinion matters has a positive view of the current state of NCAA Football The few lawyers intent on destroying the game for their own gain don't care one bit about the academic opportunities they're erasing for the next generation

That’s the main reason autism rates are going up-not my wife’s Tylenol use during pregnancy. And calling it a chronic condition to be cured isn’t helpful either.

Last year our 6 y/o was diagnosed with autism. The psychologist said in the past he might have been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome or not diagnosed at all. She told us “most people will never know he has autism, because he doesn’t show the stereotypical signs.”

This is because in 2013 the *definition* of autism was expanded to include Asperger's, CDD, PDD-NOS, and the Autistic Disorder. Numbers went up because the definition changed to include more variants. And testing and awareness of Autism just got better over time. This is insane.
In the last 22 years, autism rates among children have increased nearly 400%. It's time to make our children healthy again!

Here’s a nice analysis of 2.5M children about Tylenol and autism. The study found a small association between tylenol use in pregnancy and autism, but the association went away in sibling analysis. In sibling analysis you compare children born to the same mother where one child was exposed to Tylenol but not the other. This is a better comparison because genetics are similar between siblings whereas they differ greatly in non siblings from different families. Bottom line: no increased risk of autism with tylenol use in a huge population analysis. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam…

Let’s get straight to the point: Marjorie Taylor Greene has no idea what global leadership looks like. That’s not an attack it’s a fact. She’s never had to lead troops. Never had to feed a nation. Never had to choose country over self. She’s not fighting for the American people.

Political assassinations
Today began with the cold-blooded assassination of Minnesota Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark in their home by a coward dressed up as a police officer leaving two children without either parent. Another couple, State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, are fighting for their lives. My fellow Americans, peace is our only way forward. At this moment may we pause and hold this family, their extended family, and their friends in a collective embrace. No doubt other lawmakers around our country are terrified and with good reason. Everyone is terrified. My hope is that those who protest today will do so peacefully and calmly. My hope is that we will all condemn political violence, hate speech, name calling—all of it. It has no place in our public square, no place in our culture. Condemn it in every way. My hope is that today we will all stop and realize that the tempers, the rage, the anger, the vitriol—it’s all brought us to this moment. This moment must end. This moment cannot go on. No one is safe in this moment. May we hold these families close. May we hold our own families close.

Trump’s parade will cost taxpayers up to $45 million. For example, with that money, we could expand health care & food assistance for veterans. A taxpayer-paid birthday gift to Trump sounds like government waste to me.
