Institutions, in all its forms, and especially contemporary forms of institutions and institution-like settings, needs to be abolished. The deinstitutionalisation guidelines provide clear steps!
The DI Guidelines gives a very practical, step by step inventory of policy and program actions to take for governments. The map of actionables described should encourage governments to go forward without delay. Says Bharagvi Davar at CSF during 16th COSP #CSFCRPD @IDA_CRPD_Forum

Thank you to @AustraliaUN for hosting the #COSP16 welcome reception. It was fantastic to be among Australia's delegates, and to be attending COSP with @AmandaRishworth. It's so important to have civil society at these meetings.
It was an honour to welcome @AmandaRishworth, Australia's Minister for Social Services, to New York for the 16th Session of the @UN Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Thank you @AmandaRishworth and the Australian Government for supporting young people with disability. We are proud to be sending two youth delegates to #COS16.
