Helen Whatley MP spends every day bashing disabled people online and calling them scroungers.
She has claimed for almost £2,000,000 on expenses since 2015.
£300,000 of this are for her own travel and accommodation etc, yet she lives 50 miles from London.

Who kicked this wasp nest? The Tony Blair Institute has proposed removing PIP and the Universal Credit health element from some under-25s with anxiety or depression, replacing cash support with treatment, training and work placements.
This is not government policy, but with the Milburn and Timms reviews under way, we cannot ignore it. PIP is not an unemployment benefit, and taking away essential support will not create accessible jobs or cure mental ill health.
Support young disabled people into work, don’t punish them into poverty.

After 18 years of full time work and reaching a senior level position, I had to go on benefits for a period due to serious burnout from ADHD and bipolar disorder.
If I didn't get those benefits, I would have lost everything and could have ended up homeless.
I am sick to the teeth of people treating benefits like everyone is a scrounger. It's a literal lifeline.
The GPD % spend of benefits in 2026 is exactly the same as as it was in 2009.
The politicians are lying to us. There is no crisis.
It's the tax avoiders where the big money is to be found, but that would likely include the politicians friends and family, so they leave that well alone.

@TomSwarbrick1 I don’t think you have a clue about disabled people. Take away meals are a life line for many disabled people. In some cases it is cheaper than paying for gas or electricity and purchasing ingredients to make a meal. And then there are sensory issues.

Unpaid carers: after all the years you’ve cared what’s been the hardest part over the years?
For me, it was never knowing whether I’d get a full night’s sleep, a few hours or none, then being expected to function the next day as if that were normal.
