Pete's right. That is Bitcoin.
Read the screen: "Bitcoin SV / Radio Payments."
The phone: "Received $0.08 / 0.00400 BSV." (h/t @71Nous)
Settled on-chain in block 970,761 on Oct 12: whatsonchain.com/tx/03f57a25…
Jack Dorsey, January 2025: "if this ends up just being digital gold, I think it's failed."
So which chain is doing the electronic cash part?
Hint: the one on the screen.
Bitcoin's biggest cheerleaders are celebrating what BSV already does.
Welcome aboard, Pete!
JUST IN: SOMEONE JUST SENT #BITCOIN FROM A HANDHELD RADIO WITH NO INTERNET AND NO PHONE SIGNAL
FREEDOM TECH IS SPREADING
LOVE TO SEE IT 🔥
I just sent IPv6 network packets between BSV overlays, using BEEF transactions, recording proof of delivery on a Teranode test chain, and fully valid end to end. This is running over a multicast lab. Everything is SPV verified to the packet level. BSV scales. The future is now.

💥 BOOM!
🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL: 🇺🇸 The SEC has confirmed that U.S. crypto companies are now ALLOWED to operate and conduct business across the United States.
🌐 THE DIGITAL ERA IS HERE! 🔥
Coming soon on @XPRNetwork 🤖
Trading bots usually want your money or your keys. This one gets neither.
The problem: automated trading usually means trusting someone. You hand your funds to a platform, or give a bot your keys and hope. If they get hacked or disappear, so does your money.
What we built: trading vaults you own.
⚛️ Your vault is an ordinary XPR account in your name.
⚛️ Our bot can call exactly one action on it, trade, inside limits you set: per trade, per day, and what it must always keep.
⚛️ It can't withdraw or send your funds anywhere. Only you can.
Your money never leaves your control. Orders don't sit on the DEX: each trade fills and settles back into your vault in the same transaction. So your funds are always in an account YOU control, and you can take them out any time with one signature, even if our servers are down.
That's thanks to XPR Network's permission system: a custom permission, tied by linkauth to that one trade action, is all the bot ever gets.
Trustless setup: an on-chain contract builds your vault from published, hash-checked code. Before you add a cent, your browser reads the chain and runs 7 checks: that it's the published code, that only you own it, and that the bot can do exactly one thing. We never hold your funds.
Why XPR Network: permissions fine-grained enough to lock a bot to one action, no gas fees so small trades make sense, an on-chain order book (@MetalXApp) with on-chain price oracles, and @webauthwallet signing with Face ID or Yubikey.
Here's a full setup, start to finish 👇 Opening soon to a small group of testers.

🚨 BOMBSHELL SCOTUS DECISION JUST DROPPED! 🚨
In a UNANIMOUS ruling, the Supreme Court just STRIPPED the federal government’s power to disarm millions of Americans for marijuana use!
The 1968 law that banned gun ownership for “unlawful users” of controlled substances? Ruled unconstitutional when applied to habitual cannabis users.
This is the same law they tried to use against Hunter Biden.
A Texas man just won his Second Amendment rights back. The Court just said: You can’t treat pot smokers like violent felons.
Big Win for the Constitution.
Massive L for gun-grabbing overreach.
Marijuana users: your 2A rights are BACK. 🔥
What do you think — should this apply to ALL drugs? Or just weed? 👇 xitter.cf/mrderek1776/status/210…
I don't condone violence. But for the welfare of the american people and all the younge people growing up in the world whos jobs are at stake due to automation and artificial intelligence, this seems like the only feasible answer. Millions of jobs at stake and no UBi plan in site. No legislation against automation. It's great that we can build these things but should we really? Begs the many questions about why you would want to be more intelligent than a #fruitfly in the first place.

PayPal just listed Real Bitcoin (SV)💥
On the official PayPal Developer documentation, BitcoinSV is listed as a supported cryptocurrency for Pay with crypto .
US merchants can now accept payments in Real BitcoinSV .
Buyers pay from their own wallets or exchanges.
PayPal converts the payment and settles the merchant in local currency.
This is more than a technical listing.
Large payment platforms require stability and predictability. ✅
Real Bitcoin (SV) kept the base protocol fixed — innovation happens only at the application layer.
That is exactly what regulated and enterprise-grade systems need.🎯
Quiet infrastructure progress continues.
The storm is coming. 💥🔥

Does BTC have to be 1M/coin to subsidize electricity? Who pays for all the use cases when ordinary families are just trying to keep the lights on and the food cold?
BTC at one million dollars would not merely enrich a few men who mistake price appreciation for economic productivity. Under the present reward structure, mining would attempt to consume around 2,400 terawatt-hours a year, roughly seven per cent of global electricity.
That would already be extraordinary. Unfortunately, Bitcoin would not be bidding for power in an empty room.
AI data centres are expanding rapidly. Cloud computing is expanding. Semiconductor fabrication, electric vehicles, heat pumps, industrial electrification and population growth are all demanding additional generation, transmission capacity and cooling. Every serious economy is already discovering that announcing a data centre is considerably easier than building the grid required to power it.
At one million dollars per BTC, mining becomes another enormous industrial claimant upon electricity. It competes directly with AI infrastructure, factories, hospitals, transport, households and every government attempting to electrify its economy. Regional grids would not politely manufacture seven per cent more power because a speculative asset had enjoyed an excellent afternoon.
At five million dollars, the proposition becomes grotesque. Mining would attempt to consume around 11,800 terawatt-hours annually—more electricity than the United States presently uses, and potentially between a quarter and two-thirds of world supply under the model’s range.
At the same time, technology companies would be constructing increasingly vast AI campuses, each requiring power, water, cooling, transmission and backup generation. The world would therefore be asked to finance two simultaneous electrical appetites: one training machines to produce answers, and another making machines guess numbers that serve no purpose beyond maintaining the price structure that created the appetite.
One may criticise AI, but at least a data centre can produce computation, research, software, logistics, medical analysis or services. BTC mining at this scale would consume comparable infrastructure merely to preserve artificial scarcity and transfer ownership entries.
At five million dollars, miners would attempt to spend more than half a trillion dollars each year on electricity. They would not simply buy surplus power. They would bid electricity away from other users.
Household bills would rise. Industrial production would become more expensive. AI facilities would bid against miners for grid connections. Governments would choose which data centres received power, which factories remained open, and which speculative furnaces were permitted to continue glowing.
The market would not respond with infinite new generation. It would respond first with higher prices, congestion, rationing, political intervention and the sudden discovery by libertarians that electricity grids are physical institutions rather than inspirational metaphors.
At ten million dollars per BTC, mining would attempt to consume around 23,700 terawatt-hours annually, with the upper estimate exceeding current world electricity production. The model would require miners to spend more than one trillion dollars a year in an electricity market worth only a few trillion.
Meanwhile, AI demand would still be growing.

Metallicus has been quietly onboarding credit unions to issue their own stablecoins.
I built a tracker for this 🧙♂️
metalytiks.com/monitor#stabl…
I tracked down all 15 in the pilot on-chain, mapped 6 to real institutions ($16B in combined assets, 108 branches across 5 states), and pulled live supply/holders/peg for the coins that are already trading.
Shoutout to @echodatruth for originally posting about this earlier today which gave me the idea to map this out
