In our journey to learn more about brain rehab and recovery for Lucy, we visited Burke Rehabilitation in White Plains, NY where a friend of the family recently achieved a remarkable recovery from a devastating brain hemorrhage.
We toured the Burke campus and met the team and were impressed. We noted, however, that Burke is under resourced. In short, we are not doing enough for brain-injured patients at Burke and other rehabilitation centers around the country because of a lack of resources.
To help advance Burke, Neri and I have a committed to a $20 million challenge grant. We will match up to $20 million of new funds raised by Burke with up to a $20 million endowment that we will manage for the center.

Last night, 2,977 lights rose above New York Harbor, one for each life lost on September 11, 2001, before forming the Twin Towers against the New York City skyline.
The commemorative installation was created in collaboration with members of the 9/11 community, including family members, survivors and first responders, to mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
Not sweet.

And they only used it for a month!
That's a meaningful improvement in a short amount of time, all from a simple purchase you can make for your home.

As shown in our recent study, good gains in muscle strength and size can be achieved with as little as ~1 hour of resistance training per week, provided sets are performed with a high level of effort (close to failure). For most of the general population, this can be sufficient to achieve their strength and muscle-building goals. The key is simply to get to the gym, train hard and be consistent 💪

Here’s some good news if you’re a fast walker — and an incentive to pick up the pace if you’re not: findings from a study published July 14, 2026, in Neurology suggest that older adults who maintain a brisk natural walking pace into their 80s and beyond may be protecting their brains. #HarvardHealth
