New WIP super early stages, but I was really eager to share that I'm getting the honor of creating the world map for @eric_v_swearingen 's "The Children of Starlight".
I rarely see anyone talk about the ultra early stages of their work. Every map I create starts like this:
math, measurements, ratios, design, composition, reference gathering, and a good ol' prayer for strength and focus to see this through.
Your party arrives at the lake that started three wars.
Merchants, spies, and soldiers crowd the shore.

I was researching heraldry for a new commission and somehow my excitement got me into drawing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Shields. 15 minute sketch.
This is the start of a new sketch series I guess!
Twin kingdoms united by blood. Now separated by bloodshed.
Defend the strait with your life, for the kingdom.
