the problem comes in when you realize the legends that overlapped in this era and the next, and how they used to get their head beat in.
guys like shaq who supposedly carried and was the most dominant was getting owned by these same ‘watered down’ comp rosters.
ppl act like the 90s is disconnected from the eras before or after it and we dont have reference points to how great those players were.
guys like kobe, duncan, kg, ray allen, nash, even dirk and many more were 90s players!!!
all the great early 2000s teams were literally made up of 90s era players. those same players had bron below 40 wins in the east and missing the playoffs.
