The Archdiocese of Denver states Archbishop Golka asked Fr. Ripperger to consider a one-year fast from public speaking and interviews to focus on his society; Fr. Ripperger readily agreed.

Dios y Hombre verdadero,
Creador, Padre y Redentor mío;
me pesa de todo corazón de haberos ofendido;

I'll first state that I do not know why you wrote what you did because you are addressing things that I did not say. Perhaps you're working on presuppositions, but in any case, I'll respond to certain points. For ease I'll quote your responses and reply in kind. My apologies for the length.
“This edges toward a magic‑words view… Sacraments work ex opere operato.”
We affirm that valid matter, form, and intention are what make a sacrament valid. As I'm sure you're aware this is defined dogma (Council of Trent, Session VII, Canon 8). No where did I say the Novus Ordo was invalid per se. But your argument misses the point. The issue is not validity, but rather fittingness, reverence, and doctrinal clarity, which is what the entire thread was about. Nowhere did I or Emith discuss validity. Why you're going there I don't know. Holy Mother Church has always insisted that rites must not merely be valid, but must express the faith clearly, safeguard doctrine, and avoid ambiguity.
This is taught explicitly in Sacrosanctum Concilium:
“There must be no innovations unless the good of the Church genuinely and certainly requires them.” and “New forms should grow organically from forms already existing.” (SC 23)
I would argue that many post‑conciliar reforms did not grow organically and did introduce ambiguity, especially around the sacrificial nature of the Mass. Key word here is sacrificial not celebratory.
As Pope Pius XII said in Mediator Dei, “The liturgy must clearly manifest the Eucharistic Sacrifice.”
Moreover, the Council of Trent stated unambiguously that the Holy Mass is “a true and proper sacrifice” offered for sins. That is propitiatory. Again, not a celebratory meal.
TLM prayers express this doctrine far more explicitly, and if you took the time to read them you'd understand that. NO’s offertory prayers (modeled on Jewish table blessings) are valid but less doctrinally explicit.
"This is not 'magic words.'"
It is lex orandi, lex credendi: the Church prays what she believes. No one is talking about magic words or even implying that except you.
“Christ warned against heaping up empty phrases (Mt 6:7).”
I completely agree, but your use of this verse is misapplied.
Christ condemned pagan babbling, not solemn liturgical prayer. The Fathers are unanimous on this point. St. Augustine said Christ condemns “vain repetition,” not “holy repetition.” Continuing, St. John Chrysostom argues the issue is “mindless verbosity,” not “ritual prayer.”
Why are you saying the Our Father is short and implying that the liturgy should follow suit? The Our Father is short, yes, but Christ Himself prayed long prayers (Jn 17), repeated prayers (Mt 26:44), and instituted a sacrificial liturgy rooted in the Temple, which was anything but brief. The Mass is not private prayer. It is liturgy.
“The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed.” (SC 10)
I'm baffled as to why you would want the Mass to be “short and simple.” It is meant to be solemn, sacrificial, and transcendent.
“Saying a prayer ‘radically changed for the worse’ misses the point of the faith.”
I'd encourage you to be careful here as Pope Pius XII, Mediator Dei (cited a lot!) warns against “dangerous innovations.”
St. Pius X also condemned liturgical experimentation in Tra le Sollecitudini.
And what's profound is Trent anathematizes altering sacramental rites in ways that obscure doctrine. (Oh, we could spend a long time on that one, but that's for another day.)
Bad liturgy leads to bad belief don't you think? That would be the logical conclusion and affirmed in SC 21: “Texts and rites should be drawn up so that they express more clearly the holy things which they signify.”
“TLM Catholics mock guitars, dance, and cultures.”
Let me call to your attention that the Mass is propitiatory and you are standing at the foot of the cross at Calvary when Mass is occurring. You mean to tell me you're showing up with guitars, drums and dance while Christ is being crucified? It's not mockery, but a disgust response.
The Church has always restricted certain forms of music and dance in liturgy.
St. Pius X stated in Tra le Sollecitudini “The true art of sacred music must exclude profane styles.”
Followed by Pope Pius XII in Musicae Sacrae that music must be “free from anything that smacks of the secular.” Guitars, drums and dance are secular, not sacred. If you want to throw a celebration do it in the parish hall, not at Mass.
In the General Instructions of the Roman Missal (GIRM) 30, 39–40 we are informed that music must foster “reverence” and “sacred character.” That's not happening with guitars and drums. That's a Pentecostal service, which is doing quite well in Africa unfortunately.
This one I think you'll find quite enlightening and I hope that you take it back to your parish and make corrections. In the Latin Rite, the Congregation for Divine Worship (1975) stated
“Dance is not permitted in the Latin Rite.” (Not good news for you). What we in the traditional community are trying to do is simply defend what the Church has always taught. And I might add not just liturgically, but doctrinally.
“They speak down on the Novus Ordo as if they’ve lost faith in Christ’s promise.”
That is a complete misunderstanding of the traditionalist position. We do not believe that the gates of hell have or will prevail. We do believe the Church is undergoing a crisis. I'm not sure how anyone could deny that. I'd argue that it has components of the Arian crisis, Western Schism and the Protestant Revolt, but that is modernism, no? The synthesis of all heresies. Nothing in the promise that Christ made (which I might explain is an offensive not a defensive example) states that Holy Mother Church won't experience confusion, bad discipline, or harmful reforms. Look around. We're experiencing them. What Christ's promise does mean is that the Church will never lose the sacraments or the deposit of faith.
“The Novus Ordo is fully the Body of Christ.”
Following Trent, Pius XII, and Sacrosanctum Concilium state that validity is the floor, not the ceiling.
The question is not “Is the NO valid?” (well, some may argue that point, but that's not being argued here), but rather does the NO express Catholic doctrine with the same clarity, reverence, and theological richness as the TLM? The answer is obviously "Not even close."
If you respond I'll read it, but there will be no more responses from me. Pax.

90 years ago today the 'reds' fired their guns against the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue at the Hill of The Angels (Cerro de Los Angeles) in Madrid, during the Catholic persecution. You would not believe the horrible things they did during that period of time.

Rodri responds to whether Spain can stop Lionel Messi and Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.
🗣️ Reporter: “Rodri, do you believe Spain can stop Lionel Messi in the World Cup final?”
Rodri: “Why wouldn’t we? If you’re asking whether Messi is the greatest player of all time, my answer is yes. If you’re asking whether he’s capable of deciding another World Cup final at 39 years old, absolutely. But if you’re asking whether Spain are going into this match already beaten before kickoff… absolutely not.”
“I’ve watched every minute of Argentina’s tournament. I’ve seen what he did against England. They were leading 1-0, they thought they had the game under control, and then Messi completely changed everything. Two unbelievable assists, another masterclass and another World Cup final. That’s exactly why every team in the world respects him.”
“But this is the World Cup final. We didn’t come this far to spend ninety minutes watching Lionel Messi make history. We came here to stop him and bring the trophy back to Spain.”
“People are acting as if the trophy already belongs to Argentina because Messi is on the pitch. That’s football’s biggest mistake. Respect is one thing. Fear is another. We have no fear.”
“Yes, he’s still the best player in the world. Yes, he’s capable of punishing any mistake. That’s why we cannot switch off for even one second. Against a player like Messi, one moment of hesitation can cost you the World Cup.”
“We’ll defend together, we’ll fight together and we’ll suffer together if we have to. If Messi wants another World Cup, he’s going to have to earn every single touch of the ball because we’re not giving him anything for free.”
“I’ve admired him throughout my career, but admiration ends when the referee blows the whistle. For ninety minutes, there are no idols only opponents.”
“The world wants another Lionel Messi fairytale. Spain wants the World Cup. We respect the greatest player of all time, but we’re not walking onto that pitch to applaud him we’re walking onto it to beat him.”
