In view of the weather forecast of heavy rains, issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD) and inclement weather in Ransoo, the pilgrimage to Shri Shiv Khori has temporarily been suspended. The pilgrims are advised accordingly. The Shrine Board is continuously monitoring the situation and devotees are urged to check the latest updates before planning their travel.

The unfortunate incident involving the drowning of monkeys at Shiv Khori GSR occurred due to its structural damage caused by the flash floods and landslides of 2025.
The department acted promptly and responsibly in the interest of public safety. Allegations of negligence are misleading and factually incorrect.

Immediately after the incident came to notice, water supply was suspended, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi visited the site to review the situation. The GSR was subsequently cleaned, disinfected, and water quality tested as per prescribed SOPs before restoration of supply.
