I don't know if its too niche, but I'd love to hear from others who run exhibitions with tech in outdoor spaces - it's a whole different set of challenges to inside exhibitions and something I'm trying to tackle at the mo! #DLNETChat

There’s no shame in using AI as long as it’s transparent and ethical! Definitely agree that a discussion on AI tools, and more importantly, how they are used would be a good one #DLNETChat

Ooh carbon footprint would be an interesting one! There's so many hidden sustainability issues with digital, when many people just assume its the "green" option! #DLNETChat

There have been chats where I have have stayed silent but found the experts’ thought very helpful. Having the pre-chat videos were also great of setting the tone. #DLNETChat

I agree with the "ok not to know" - it's been good to create a safe space where we can all learn together! #DLNETChat

I have really enjoyed the pre-recorded video format, they've helped shape the @DLNET chat, they're easy to go back to later for quick reference and great for sharing with colleagues. #DLNETChat

A takeaway from @justine_reilly was that making it better for some will benefit all. She noted how normalised assistive tech (subtitles, screen readers) is becoming. Worth checking we activate our platforms' in-built accessibility features, like @genially or @Kahoot #DLNETchat

On this theme, one user suggested making a video tracing the steps from the nearest bus stop / train station so the visitor can see where to get off, how far it is, note anything about the terrain/access and how to navigate the entrance and ticketing layout. #DLNETchat

.@justine_reilly had some excellent suggestions e.g. a film made on your mobile on your website 'visit us' or Facebook page to show what your venue looks like, ensuring people are prepared for what to expect. #DLNETchat

Museum producers do most of their work sitting at a screen but the user may have challenges around concentration, fatigue, the need to move, so we need to be mindful of pacing and building in plenty of opportunities to pause in online courses, workshops and meetings. #DLNETchat

This is crucial! The anticipatory duty means individuals should not have to self disclose in order to access reasonable adjustments.

Hi Sian, we've developed the Principles for Museums and Neurodiversity to underpin what the sector should be doing. You can find them on the website and the plan is to roll out training which supports orgs to deliver to this standard.
