I read the Fhenix docs on dual-mode tokens. Here's what actually changes.
Every holder gets two balances in one contract: a normal ERC-20 balance and an encrypted one. Public balance works with every existing integration. Want privacy? Call shield. Want out? Unshield.
So privacy becomes opt-in per holder, not a separate token or pool. Builders can even add freeze controls or a compliance observer.
That's my read on what Oct 21 unlocks for @fhenix. 🔐
Right now, privacy on-chain usually means a separate token, a bridge, and a thinner liquidity pool.
Dual-mode assets could change that. The same token stays public when you want composability and goes confidential when you don't want your balance on display.
No wrapped version. No split liquidity.
I think that's the real shift when @fhenix mainnet lands on Oct 21: privacy becomes a setting, not a different market. 🔐
Quantum computers will break much of today's encryption. FHE is built differently.
Fully Homomorphic Encryption relies on lattice-based math, the same family of problems behind post-quantum cryptography. No known quantum algorithm breaks it efficiently.
Why it matters now: data encrypted today can be harvested and cracked later. Infrastructure built on FHE doesn't carry that risk.
