So either he didn’t know it was fourth down or didn’t know a team could decline a penalty on 4th down against the team going for it on the down lol. Is it supposed to make him seem more competent now? It’s just as bad
I looked into this Dan Quinn lipreading

Tired of these dudes gaslighting everyone. As if there aren’t 500 cameras in 4k literally broadcasting live what you’re saying and showing your reaction. Don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
"I definitely knew it was 4th down." Commanders HC Dan Quinn on the 4th down play that Jayden Daniels threw the ball away in the second quarter.

Daniels said, "Don't even put it on the coaches. I have to be more aware out there and manage the game right. I did not do that. No matter what happens on the sidelines, I've got to know everything happening and make sure we're in the right situation to win the game."

Is there a video of the commanders sideline showing how the sideline is reacting in the moment during that god awful sequence?

This is the Adam Peters equivalent of “winning off the field” I don’t care about the things we don’t see because based on what I do see you’re not doing anything at all
Adam Peters in August: "There’s a lot of stuff we’re doing here that maybe they don't see"

Dan Quinn‘s net worth is somewhere around $10-$12 million and he’s making 8 1/2 million dollars a season to be that incompetent. I’m sorry you’re not gonna get any sympathy from me. If he forfeits that salary to the fans then yeah I’ll sympathize.
After talking to people around the league early this morning, the sense is that a change at head coach for the Washington #Commanders is not currently anticipated following yesterday’s tie with the #Giants.

I’m just not in the business of sympathizing for millionaires, who are being paid by billionaires. Not to mention they’re not even doing their job the right way when I know I can do that job: atleast in that specific moment, the right way. This is extremely tone deaf.
NEW: Why do people forget the concept of grace when it comes to the NFL, especially when it comes to obvious unintended mistakes or brain freezes? So no, it was not time to call for taking Dan Quinn's livelihood as #Commanders head coach yesterday, & it certainly isn't today either, imo...

Can anyone give an explanation for the end of the Commanders vs. Giants game?

Every single word of this clip. All of it and then some
.@89jonesntaf says Jayden Daniels is 100% responsible for Washington's tie "There's no quarterback that you played with that's not gonna either spike that ball or throw it out of bounds just out of GP... I don't give a damn what the coach is saying in my ear. I see 15 seconds!"

It’s incredible how many people are giving him a pass for this. When he says “we need to be better” it’s an attempt to minimize the blame that he DESERVED. Deflecting the accountability that he has to accept as the quarterback who is seeking a 200 million dollar extension.
He should say…. “It starts & ends with me…I have to be better for my team & I will be better.”
61
It doesn’t justify the outcome. His performance before that should be the story and it’s not.
54
Clearly neither one knows what the hell they’re doing
The Commanders had Dave Gardi helping with game-management stuff and serving as a league liaison the previous two seasons. After he was hired as the Titans' EVP of football ops earlier this year, the Commanders split up his role between Kevin Brown and Connor Nickol. Brown helps with officiating and replay, and Nickol helps with game management and analytics.

300 yards of total offense and the X factor on offense. That’s what makes this whole thing so tough
The most frustrating thing about yesterday was how much of a dog Jayden Daniels was. It'll be lost in the tie when it should have been the headline.
69
Oh look…overtime.

If you’re just as pissed then resign and forfeit your paycheck from the game cause you didn’t earn it nor do you deserve to be employed moving forward. Only then, would you be just as pissed
Quinn on fan displeasure in him: "I'm just as pissed too. This is a really hard loss. I have a lot of faith in who we are as an organization. I'm looking forward to getting back on the field Monday night."

I saw someone say “Jayden thought the clock would stop at 5 seconds in honor.” And that sent me hollering hahaha

At this point, the more that they try to justify the situation in someway, the worse it is. Just say you didn’t know what’s going on in the game that you were unaware of the situation.
Quinn said the play came from OC David Blough. Quinn said one issue was that there was too much subbing for that situation. But Quinn said, "All that comes from me what we can and can't do. Dave calls it but it's clear about my guidelines too It's a breakdown in a lot of ways and it starts with me first."

I don’t understand how people think jayden is immune to any ounce of criticism or blame: blame whoever you want at the end of the day no one has the ball on their hand, except for him. None of the coaches are taking that snap. You should know exactly what to do and you didn’t.

He Got no problem praising the team when they win games and you come back from behind and you lead the team down the field in those exact moments. but when the opposite happens, you need to be the guy to step up there and say that it’s on you because at the end of the day it was.

only one person takes that snap from under center and has the ability to control the game with the clock.. just cause he’s a baller 99.9 percent of the time doesn’t mean he’s perfect and can’t make mistakes. Which is what happened. He needed to say that with authority afterwards
