Following the untimely death of Shaun Lever, it’s clear there is a need for a support network (that I’m not aware of) for people who work in the night time industry. There are projects in place to protect and support the general public but what about the workers in the sector! They are more exposed to the temptations of alcohol and drugs, also the unsociable hours, over adrenal stimulation, can contribute to wellbeing/mental health challenges. The night time industry owes it to the people who work within the sector to provide a support network for DJs, bar staff, promoters, security because far too many suffer in silence. @Sacha_Lord are there any support frameworks you’re aware of ? I’ve not DJ’d for a few years now so I’m not sure what’s available, but hope there’s some support for those who have been affected in an industry that relies on workers surrounded by temptations .
