JUST IN: Gov. Greg Abbott has announced that all Texas schools will be closed for the remainder of the year. DISD will continue to look for ways to honor our seniors as we await guidance from the TEA on graduation. We will provide an update as soon as we gather more information.

FREE WI-FI! Several local churches are inviting our students to access their Wi-Fi from the comfort of their car in the church's parking lot. Many thanks to these generous places of worship! It truly takes a village. #DecaturProud decaturisd.us/Wi-Fi

DISD buses now deliver meals at no charge to children 18-under M-F along our bus routes. Parents can pick up meals by presenting the student's report card or having the student w/them at time of pickup. For route details and delivery times, visit decaturisd.us/BusMeals

All Wise County schools will remain closed through April 12. Read the letter from county superintendents below. @DISDCarson @DISDRann @DISDYoung @DISD_DIS @MMSdecatur @Decatur_HS #SAFEEagle

Distance Learning Tip: Create learning spaces for your child to study at home. Rotating from one place to another helps kids who are used to visiting different classrooms during a school day. Learn about music in the living room; practice geometry in the hallway. #DISDatHOME
