They no longer know how ridiculous they sound. That is exactly the arrangement that the British West Indies had prior to independence, i.e., as COLONIES. It's called internal self-rule. You can have that kind of limited sovereignty and still be a colony. Cuba also claims sovereignty over Guantanamo, but it doesn't possess it. #Greenland #imperialism #Trump
JUST NOW: Greenland's Premier Jens-Frederik Nielsen has just announced that he is traveling to New York to sign a security agreement with the United States and Denmark that grants the US permanent control over Greenland’s defense while preserving Danish sovereignty.

No one, including Stellantis listens to Bimbo Joly. Stellantis is gone. The 15 billion is gone because she couldn’t be bothered to get the payback requirements in writing. Liberals love to give your money to big corporations. Liberals don’t care about the the cost to Canadians
Liberal Minister Mélanie Joly says that Stellantis needs to reopen, and if not, the Liberal government will get back the $15 billion that was loaned to the company. Stellantis is currently in advanced talks to sell its Brampton plant to Canadian armoured vehicle maker Roshel.

Reality-denial remains a potent force among the expert class. This is about more than just an "extended" presence: this is about land-leases, in perpetuity, where the US can unilaterally decide on the number and size of bases. Again, it's forever. Call #Greenland "Guantanamo North," because that's what it is now.
It’s a fairly remarkable Trump climbdown over 🇬🇱. He says that the agreement prevents 🇷🇺🇨🇳 military bases there, but that was neither an issue nor a possibility. And as for extended 🇺🇸 military presence that was already possible under the 1951 agreement. For other issues we will wait until the full text is available next week.

That's what you would expect the losing side to say. They are worried about public backlash, and want to sign before anyone can see it. #Greenland #imperialism
“I would not sign an agreement if it were not a good one” PM, Mette Frederiksen says she understands why people are so focused on what the agreement actually contains. But she stresses that she will not comment on the substance until there is a final, signed agreement. “I’m not going to go into the substance of this. There is a lot of speculation, and I fully understand the enormous interest in the specific content, but I will not discuss the details until we have a signed agreement.” She says she particularly understands why Greenlanders want to know what the agreement will mean for them. “They have been through a very difficult period. But speaking generally, I would not put my signature on an agreement that was not good for Greenland and for the Kingdom — and neither would Jens-Frederik Nielsen.” —DR

NOT the words of a winner who just got to preserve the 1951 Agreement intact -- take note: "It has been a difficult time for many people back home, and I know there has been both concern and fear about what might happen to our country. I have taken those concerns very seriously." #Greenland #Trump
I’m on my way to New York. It has been a difficult time for many people back home, and I know there has been both concern and fear about what might happen to our country. I have taken those concerns very seriously. As I make my way across the Atlantic, I’m thinking of all of you back home — the families, the children, the young and the elderly. Everyone who has been following developments and worrying about what the future might bring. ❤️ I hope we can now bring more calm and reassurance around our country. We must take good care of Greenland, stand together around what matters most, and remain firm that we must always be treated with respect. That is the responsibility I carry with me to New York. Greenland is our home. And together, we will protect it. 🇬🇱 —Premier of Greenland, Jens - Frederik Nielsen Sept. 20, 2026 (Facebook)

“POTUS: ‘This continues to be a pandemic of the unvaccinated.’” Jacqui Heinrich is Fox News Senior White House Correspondent and co-host of The Sunday Briefing. She collected a bachelor’s in International Affairs, Religion, and Anthropology from George Washington University after a brief stop at Duke. That is the entire academic résumé. No MD, no MPH, no epidemiology, no immunology, no public-health training of any kind - just a journalism degree in political tourism and a camera. From the front row she typed out and aired Biden’s January 2022 smear that the country was still living through “a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” then followed it with his December claim that vaccine requirements were not control, they were “to save your life.” She put the official scapegoating language in front of millions while treating the White House framing as the default. That is how a reporter with zero relevant expertise helped turn a medical product into a loyalty test and a job requirement. She questioned the slogan the next day, then kept the platform that rewarded her for repeating it in the first place. She rose to president of the White House Correspondents’ Association and married a sitting congressman while nurses, pilots, truckers, and parents who refused the shot lost careers, custody time, and public life. The people who paid the price never got a Sunday briefing. She did. Front-row seat, empty credentials, full complicity.

We live in a country where the majority were convinced that people who were fighting against Government overreach were bad, who couldn’t care less about the 11 MP’s who were involved in foreign interference, sat back and watched the Liberals prorogue Parliment so they could install a person who promised to get a deal done with Trump but has purposely failed to do so. The same people now support Carney’s decision to walk away from trade talks without seeing what was even in it, and now they support joining the EU as associate members without knowing a single detail regarding what that entails. Talk about a population ripe for abuse of power. They happily cheer away while being taken advantage of.

Some folks continue to repeat the claim that covid shots "saved 3.2 million lives" in the US alone, an estimate based on a modeling study published in a non-peer reviewed blog. The counterfactual that one would have to believe to get to this number is so absurd that it is hard to understand how anyone calling himself a scientist could cite it.

You got it entirely wrong, amazing. Denmark is on the hook for social services, development, etc., while the US pays nothing. The US is defending itself, not Greenland. The bases are controlled by the US, forever, and it can multiply their number, forever. You just lost #Greenland.
USA 🇺🇸 will now defend Greenland 🇬🇱 on behalf of Denmark 🇩🇰 for all eternity - without danish tax payers paying a single cent. Denmark lets the USA borrow some land for free and America pays BILLIONS for our defence. THE ART OF THE DEAL 🇩🇰🤣

Warren dodges Studin’s questions by glossing the inconvenient facts. Rolling Interim Order approval is not “standard, rigorous” three-phase testing. Two-month trial follow-up and an incomplete safety profile do not close the file on later myocarditis signals, life-altering injury, or oversold vaccine claims. “Nobody was held down” is a straw man; the policy was lose your job, flight, or public access if you said no. Blocking critics is not an argument.

"Opinions are fine. Presenting bullshit as facts is not." On this, we are in complete agreement. Calling a government policy literally described as "mandatory vaccination," non-coercive because nobody was physically held down is an excellent illustration. People lost their jobs, were barred from planes and trains, and depending on the province were excluded from restaurants, gyms and other parts of public life if they refused vaccination. It's horrible that after all these years, there's zero empathy for those who refused to take a vaccine that did zilch to stop the virus from spreading.

Shame on the @CBC for platforming this authoritarian activist who championed society-destroying Covid tyranny, particularly the othering and segregation of those who wanted nothing more than to make a personal medical decision free of coercion.
Shame on the @TheTorontoSun for publishing an opinion piece written by an antivaxxer that is now being used by antivaxxers to further their political aims.

A publicity hound by definition, complains about @DeanAllisonMP, after the same doctor helped to destroy "public health" by backing extreme authoritarian "measures".
There was absolutely nothing revelatory in the Allison anecdotal testimony to justify the hyperbolic language of @DeanAllisonMP. He is a publicity hound who seeks to damage public health,

Yes, the Disney version. It's so hyper-French that it becomes unreal. Lovers of theme parks would like this. #Quebec
In Canada’s defence this does look like Europe

The offer to make Canada an "associate member" of the EU is falling apart within days of being announced. The Telegraph reports EU diplomats say the term is empty and member states were never consulted before the announcement was made. 🧵👇 (1/8)

The @liberal_party deployed the entire Government in this coercion operation. I know, I was part of it.
🚨NEW ATIPs🚨 The OPP monitored and surveilled active/retired police officers for their political views during COVID lockdowns. A Dec. 30, 2020 Project ARDEN report — written for the OPP’s COVID team and “stakeholders” — found no threat to the vaccine rollout. Theft or sabotage was VERY LOW, and there were no links to criminal activity. What they actually feared was that the officers would lend credibility and legitimacy to people who opposed the Government's overreach during the pandemic—and despite not having any evidence, they were ordered to continue monitoring officers, networks, and anyone “who has demonstrated opposition to COVID-related public health measures.” The government department that ordered the OPP to engage in this act of espionage against private citizens is still unknown.

For the morons in the back row, let's talk about what is different about the new agreement. 1. The 1951 treaty expired with the end of NATO. This is permanent. 2. Greenland itself was not party to the 1951 treaty, and if it became independent, could say it doesn't apply. 1/
The US gaining permanent military basing in Greenland is a stunning victory in this new age of drones & missiles, and those who don't get it need to look at a globe. Greenland is 2/3 closer to mainland Europe than the continental US, only ~900 miles. There are 3 huge benefits: 1/

CBC Doctor - who recently demanded prison for those with whom he disagrees on vaccine policy - now mad that someone called for a public inquiry and potential legal consequences for those who misled the public on the safety and efficacy of COVID vaccines while imposing mandates
Peter, @DeanAllisonMP recently convened what he called the "Allison Inquiry" in which vaccine recipients or their loved ones testified that they had been injured or killed by vaccines, as well as ardent antivaxxers. The "Inquiry" got a bump from an awful opinion piece in the @TheTorontoSun in which the author called for a public inquiry into Covid vaccine safety and prison for vaccine proponents.
