‘In denying LGBT veterans the promised Parliamentary debate the government is failing to match their courage - this is an unacceptable act of erasure.’
Terribly frustrating news for our community to wake up to. FWP will continue pushing for the debate our community deserves.🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

We are delighted that NRPSN practitioners can now apply to serve alongside religious colleagues.
This is a wonderful milestone and we can’t wait to work with each service to help build diverse, responsive teams to support military personnel.

With 40% of UK armed forces personnel defining themselves as having no religion, rising to 50% among younger personnel, there is a clear and increasing need for non-religious pastoral care. It simply means more people getting the care they need, when they need it.

We have made history this morning.
@DefenceHQ has announced, for the very first time, that it will recruit non-religious pastoral support officers. The intention is to recruit three staff members – one each for the Army, Navy, and Royal Air Force.

Yesterday, our Chief Executive @andrewcopson laid a wreath at the Cenotaph, Whitehall, on behalf of non-religious armed forces personnel and their families. For the first time, the BBC announcer said faiths 'and beliefs' during the broadcast. An historic moment. #Remembrance

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them. #RemembranceDay2023 #LestWeForget

We think everyone should be able to enjoy a ceremony which reflects the beliefs and wishes of the individual. This is why we have a number of @Ceremonies_UK trained uniformed personnel providing the @DHumanists community with non-religious funerals (and weddings and namings).
