"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1
After much prayer and reflection, I believe the Lord is leading me into a new season.
It's time to change seasons, not necessarily truth or convictions.

When God's design for marriage, family, & gender is abandoned, you get chaos and moral confusion, not just on a random morning but in life itself.
The solution to this chaos & moral confusion isn't technology. It's certainly not Homeview. The solution is what it's always been -- the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Christians shouldn't be surprised at this depiction of the modern American family. Even though this looks like a parody of West Coast liberal values, it's a reflection of the culture. And the culture is lost, including the conservative parts, is lost.
Salvation won't come through politics. It will only come through Jesus. It's easy to mock this ad. It's much harder to live out a biblical ethic that loves God, loves our neighbor (even those who don't share our values), and speaks the truth, even when it's largely rejected.
Pope Leo either doesn't believe that Genesis 9:6 is part of a literal account (including Noah and a worldwide flood) in which God creates the death penalty, or that God changed His mind along the way.
Nowhere in Scripture does God repeal Genesis 9:6. To murder someone -- unborn or born -- made in the image of God is to invite God's justice through capital punishment. I think I'll stick with God on this one.
#NoDeathPenalty
I agree. The little kid looks to be about my grandson's age. I would never think of asking a young man to give up a ball he caught — much less shaming him into it with a video posted online. That's ludicrous. Of course, I'm a 59-year-old Gen Xer, so it never even occurred to me.
Radar O'Reilly would be downright embarrassed. When asked to stand for the invocation to Satan, only one council member remained seated because she already knew what to expect. Who invited this loon? It's not hard to guess the majority political party in this part of Iowa.
A CITY COUNCIL IN IOWA JUST OPENED ITS MEETING WITH A PRAYER TO SATAN, AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVEN HAVE TO TYPE THAT.
The invocation at the Ottumwa city council meeting reportedly ended with the words "Hail Satan."
This is a small town in the heartland, not some coastal college campus.
When a community starts letting the devil lead off its public meetings, something has gone badly wrong with the people running the show.
Ottumwa residents deserve answers about how this got on the agenda and who signed off on it.
Pray for that town today, because they clearly need it more than ever 🙏
Talarico now acknowledges that Jesus performed miracles. That's a start, even if he doesn't believe it.
He apparently supports Christian Nationalism, too. If progressive Christians can use the Bible to fight for healthcare, certainly Biblical Christians can use the Bible to fight against the murder of unborn children.
This is heretical & blasphemous on its face. But it's also clear evidence of someone whom God has abandoned to their sexual sin (Romans 1:24, 26, 28).
That's not a good place for anyone, much less a "pastor" who will be judged even more harshly for their false teaching.
Episcopal priestess says Mary assigned Jesus male at birth, but he was trans. And when he was resurrected, he came back as His true, transgender self.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Before his birth, during his life, & after Jesus rose, he was always referred to as a male.
Gabriel tells Mary she will bear a son & to name him Jesus (Luke 1:31–32).
Woman, behold your son
(John 19:26)
He said to them…
as he was teaching…
(John 20).

Can you imagine a "pastor" preaching an Easter sermon in which he says that he doesn't believe Jesus' Resurrection was literal? This is beyond parody.
This man, who is the pastor of the Democrat Senate candidate in TX, is a false teacher who embodies an antichrist spirit.
Despite our circumstances, followers of Jesus Christ should display a glorious and contagious joy. Why?
Not because of what we have done, but because of God's great love for us.
When we remember that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, we can't help but display great joy.
“Do to others as you would like them to do to you.” Luke 6:31 (NLT)
So, apparently, the Golden Rule now permits us to affirm lies.
With Evangelicals like Mike Pence, it's little wonder that progressives like James Talarico use the Great Commandments ("love God" and "love your neighbor") to support abortion.
To use "decency" or "respect" as an excuse to affirm what God calls sin is neither decent, respectful, loving, nor kind.
It might be nice, but niceness is not a fruit of the Holy Spirit that Christians are called to exhibit in our lives. Too many Christians have falsely substituted niceness for kindness as a Christian virtue. It's not.
It might win you friends in the liberal media and political worlds, but playing nice with the world -- and its values -- is the opposite of what Believers are called to do.
Two years ago, God reminded me of a powerful truth: life is short.
We should learn to number our days if we want to live wisely (Psalm 90:12).
Count each day.
Make every day count.
How are you making today count? – at Carlsbad, NM
Change is hard at any age, even when you know change is necessary.
My youngest so just turned 21 today.
He recently reminded me, “Dad, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
I’m taking my shot at changing how I communicate.
What change do you need to make today? – at Carlsbad, NM
"Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace." 2 Timothy 2:22 (NLT)
God has called us to faithfulness, not fame.
Live righteously.
Love unconditionally.
Pursue peace.
Leave the results to God. – at New Mexico, USA
If this isn't a poorly written & acted skit (not funny), then this marriage is doomed from the start.
@haymes_joshua's 50% divorce statistic for these cases is spot on. If you add in a 30-50% higher divorce rate for those who co-habitate before marriage (highly likely in this case, as 80% do), this is the perfect recipe for divorce, sooner rather than later.
God's design for marriage remains the best, despite our brokenness—one man and one woman for life. – at New Mexico, USA
Sadly, this evil continues to spread. I live in New Mexico, where the female Democrat "Catholic" Governor signed similar legislation a few years ago.
She and other Democrats in the state even promote NM as an "abortion tourism" destination.
The solace that we have as Believers is that God's judgment is coming upon the wicked.
All these women (and men), who are blinded to the truth and have embraced the lies of Satan, will nevertheless have no excuse on the day of judgment.
"Unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 – at New Mexico, USA
This woman's theology is truly atrocious. The only thing she said that was remotely true is that this passage (or at least her interpretation) raises "a lot of questions we may need to sit with."
She's rejected the Biblical Jesus and His Word, both perfect. The question I would ask her to sit with, under these circumstances, is, "How can an imperfect God die a perfect, substitutionary death for sinners?"
Her answer wouldn't be surprising, because I doubt that she believes in the historicity of the literal, physical death, burial, & resurrection of Jesus. How could she?
To reject Jesus' earthly perfection is to reject the atonement itself, at least as the Bible defines it.
She is certainly entitled to her own opinions, which are meaningless, but she's not entitled to her own facts.
This is what happens when we let our feelings, opinions, and experiences judge Scripture instead of letting Scripture judge our feelings, opinions, and experiences. The former never ends well. – at New Mexico, USA
Yesterday I began a new sermon series at church: “Back to the Basics: Renewing the Foundations of Our Faith.”
We started with the Bible.
Why?
Because the Bible isn’t just a book. It’s THE book.
Scripture is not another word of self-help or human wisdom. It is the God-breathed Word of God—given to teach us truth, expose what is wrong, correct us when we wander, and train us to live rightly.
God has given us His Word so that we can know Him, know His truth, and become more like Christ.
It’s not enough merely to have a Bible.
Open it. Read it. Believe it. Obey it.
Start this week in God’s Word.
May our relationship with Christ grow, our lives glow, and our good works grow.
— 2 Timothy 3:16–17 – at New Mexico, USA
"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." John 17:17
The Holy Spirit uses God's Word -- the Bible -- as the primary instrument for spiritual growth for Believers.
Believers cannot become more like Christ (sanctification) without knowing AND obeying Scripture. – at New Mexico, USA

What if tomorrow were the day you finally took that step?

“Either it’s the gospel of grace or it’s not the gospel at all.” — David Jeremiah
We will never be good enough to earn God’s favor or forgiveness.
That’s the wonder of the gospel:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
We don’t earn salvation. We receive it by grace through faith.
Have you received God’s gift of grace? If not, turn to Christ and receive it by faith today.
A week ago, my son and daughter-in-law's van wouldn't start. We replaced the battery.
This morning...it wouldn't start again.
No click. No sound. Nothing.
I was convinced something major had failed.
Before calling a tow truck, I checked the battery one more time.
The positive terminal was just slightly loose.
I tightened it with my fingers.
The doors locked.
The van started immediately.
Such a small thing. Such a big difference.
It reminded me of Jesus' words:
"Apart from Me you can do nothing." — John 15:5
A loose connection can keep a battery from delivering power.
And a life that isn't abiding in Christ won't bear spiritual fruit.
