The Absolute Ground for AI beyond Gödel-Turing Limits and Tarskian Truth
This paper presents the Ascendant Route proof, a Lean kernel-verified construction establishing both the necessary existence and uniqueness of the entity Ω within a world-indexed S5 modal framework. Ω is identified as the Absolute Ground, the unique non-derivative terminus required for intelligible contingent reality.
The philosophical foundation of the argument is the Constitutive Triad of grounding, termination, and meta-logical closure (A1/A3/A5). The argument begins from intelligible contingent obtaining (ICO, §2.1.1): contingent reality obtains as modally determinate, truth-apt, inferentially stable, and contrastively distinguishable. Any architecture preserving this explanandum must therefore realize the functional equivalents of the Triad.
Structurally, this is analogous to a compiler, whose coherent operation requires resolution, termination, and semantic preservation. Remove any one of these functions and the resulting system no longer preserves semantically coherent output. Likewise, a constitutive world-architecture that removes grounding, termination, or closure no longer preserves ICO.
The successor-based grounding architecture models grounding as a process in which each successor step reduces the remaining ungrounded complexity. Because that complexity cannot decrease indefinitely, the process terminates at the unique state Ω. This formal structure is the S-Machine. Lean 4 verifies this termination structure, while the world-indexed modal route verifies necessary Ω-existence, necessary uniqueness, and rigid identity from its explicit context. Perfection is characterized after the grounding structure has fixed Ω as the unique non-derivative terminus (see Corollary 6.2). The paper’s philosophical conclusion is direct: God exists necessarily and uniquely.
The resulting framework is philosophical before it is computational. Its primary claim concerns the ontological conditions under which contingent reality, truth, and intelligibility are possible. Its consequences for artificial intelligence follow downstream: an artificial reasoner seeking objective and coherent reasoning must operate within the same structural requirements of grounding, termination, and closure.
