Most career advice does two things. It calms you down at 24. It explains your choices at 38.
This conversation does neither.
At the start, a good job is how you stop overthinking. Later, the same job is how you defend the last ten years. Different age. Same habit.
A few questions sit under all of it.
Is this role making me better, or just more comfortable?
Am I known for the work, or only for the title? Am I building something, or just getting paid for another year?
Those questions are hard because the honest answer can make a “good job” look like a pause. So people collect advice instead of answering.
The useful part is not the takeaways. It is whether one of those questions is still open after you close the tab.
With @MubarizSiddiqui , questions outlast tabs.
Best career advice I have received came from @faizansiddiqi, and I have done well every time I followed it.
Do not pick the right industry. Pick problems that scale. Compound what makes you valuable, not the years you have spent in one vertical.

The Artemis II crew captured beautiful, high-resolution images of our home planet during their journey to the Moon. As @Astro_Christina put it: "You guys look great."
ALT A full disk image of Earth, as seen from the Orion capsule. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. From about 8 to 9 o'clock, a large brown landmass is Africa, with the Iberian peninsula twinkling with lights just where the planet curves. At the 1 o'clock spot, aurora glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space. Credit: NASA/Reid Wiseman

We've never really paid attention to churn considering the product is for job seekers who will stop paying after they get a job
But it's good to see we're getting to all time low numbers... reaching same level as popular tools like Rezi by @jacob_jacquet
