Never doubt the "half base times height" rule ever again...

Look @DHS_LibraryNews and @EnglishDHS1 - maths and Shakespeare don't have to inhabit separate regions of the Venn diagram after all!!
Exciting news: here's the cover of my book about Shakespeare and maths, coming out in April. I spent the last two years researching it, which took me from Portsmouth to Keswick via Stratford-upon-Avon. The most fun I've ever had on a book project.

Some hugely dodgy clues and even dodgier apparent answers in this crossword book for 6-8 year olds... Beware bad maths.

In @derbyhigh6th Further Maths, we're learning about hyperbolic functions and the resulting catenary curves that we see everywhere in nature and sometimes in architecture! Suspend a cable or rope freely between two points and it may look like a parabola (quadratic) but oh no...🧐

Apparently this is the "GCSE maths question that 100% of parents got wrong" according to a few online news outlets. Can you do any better?

Hope we all got the @UKMathsTrust Junior Maths Challenge question right just now, on University Challenge... 😀
Look @DHS_LibraryNews and @EnglishDHS1 - maths and poetry can co-exist!
Excited to read this in my lessons tomorrow, particularly to my Year 10s as we've recently done surds so (hopefully!) they'll get it! Love this poem.
