Protecting public health and safety at the border! 🛑📦 Across 89 separate shipments, CBP officers in Cincinnati recently intercepted a massive wave of smuggled, unapproved GLP-1 and peptide products, totaling $280,106.20 in illicit pharmaceuticals. Why do we stop this? Unregulated, unverified peptides and weight-loss drugs entering the country bypass critical FDA oversight, sterility checks, and quality controls. Buyers have zero guarantee of what is actually inside these unapproved vials—risking contamination, incorrect dosages, severe side effects, and dangerous health consequences. Keeping unapproved, potentially toxic drugs out of our communities is a vital part of our mission to safeguard American consumers. 💪🔒 (Note: The photo shown depicts just one of the 89 intercepted seizures.) #CBP #PublicHealth #ConsumerSafety #BorderSecurity #GLP1 #Peptides #PharmaceuticalSafety

Cargo deception exposed! 🛑📦 A commercial parcel originating from Hong Kong, was mis-manifested and valued at just $20.00—while weighing in at a highly suspicious 43.8 kilograms. When CBP officers inspected the two boxes, they uncovered a massive haul of counterfeit designer clothing, shoes, and luxury jewelry mimicking top brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Balenciaga, Burberry, and David Yurman. Why do we stop this? Counterfeiting is not a victimless crime. Illicit knockoffs undermine legitimate businesses, fuel underground criminal networks, and deceive consumers with inferior craftsmanship and zero quality control. Stopping intellectual property theft is a critical part of protecting our economy, fair trade, and American consumers. 💪🔒 #CBP #IPR #Counterfeits #BrandProtection #TradeEnforcement #BorderSecurity #CustomsCompliance #LuxuryFakes

Protecting public health and safety at the border! 🛑📦 Across 28 separate seizures, Chicago CBP personnel recently intercepted a significant volume of smuggled, unapproved Human Growth Hormone (HGH), totaling a staggering $457,040.00 in seized illicit products. Why do we stop this? Unregulated, unverified pharmaceuticals entering the country pose severe, life-threatening risks to consumers. Illegally imported HGH bypasses critical FDA oversight and quality controls. Buyers have no way of knowing if these substances are counterfeit, contaminated, or improperly dosed—risking severe side effects, cardiovascular damage, hormone imbalances, and long-term health consequences. Keeping dangerous, unapproved drugs out of our communities is a vital part of our mission to safeguard American consumers. 💪🔒 (Note: The photo shown depicts just one of the 28 intercepted shipments.) #CBP #PublicHealth #ConsumerSafety #BorderSecurity #TradeEnforcement #Pharmaceuticals #HealthProtection

A timeless catch at Chicago O'Hare! ⌚🛑 CBP’s Anti-Terrorism Contraband Enforcement Team at Chicago O'Hare International Airport recently intercepted two shipments containing a staggering 200 counterfeit Cartier watches. Shipped from Hong Kong and headed to California, these inauthentic items would have had a combined Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28 million if they were genuine. Protecting the integrity of U.S. trade laws and proper tariff collection. 🛡️⚖️ CBP recently recovered $136,481.50 in revenue after reviewing and denying an improper Post-Summary Correction (PSC) attempt on copper products imported from Italy. An importer sought a refund of Section 232 duties by attempting to deduct alloying elements from the value of copper tube and pipe shipments. Our trade specialists determined that the products were subject to Section 232 tariffs based on their full entered value—alloying elements cannot be deducted. The entry was successfully rate-advanced, and our enforcement teams are expanding their reviews to ensure broader compliance against similar misclassifications. CBP stands firm in preventing trade evasion and ensuring a level playing field. #CBP #TradeEnforcement #Section232 #Tariffs #CustomsAndBorderProtection #EconomicSecurity #FairTrade
