This is actually an INSANE trend we are getting right now. If it keeps up, it's going to completely derail the weekend forecast for areas of the Eastern US. We are trending towards energy associated with the trough popping off a coastal storm later this weekend. If this happens, rain will replace what was thought to be a sunny day for areas. This could also make temperatures even cooler. AND if lower pressure hangs with us off or along the coast of the Eastern US next week, you can forget about any sort of significant warm up next week. This would consistently funnel in cooler air all week. Haven't seen a sudden trend like this in a long time.
