Look who’s back home in time for fall! This Great Horned Owl came into Gold Country Wildlife Rescue's care after getting caught in a soccer net. After some care and rest, we’re happy to share that it’s back in the wild, healthy and strong!

Fall has finally arrived at @ChimpHaven, and Tequila’s group from the Treetop Ten could not be more excited. Group alpha, Buster, was a pro when the group moved back to their habitat after maintenance, and new play structure additions have been a welcome improvement!

Ted isn't just a pet. He is family. He is the one waiting at the door, curling up beside his person on the hardest of days. His owner is currently fighting cancer and putting everything they have into getting healthy. Kibble Cupboard is assisting with Ted's needs too.

Jennifer Morton didn’t plan on having three new cats but opened her heart to these beautiful kitties. Majik was a stray that unfortunately showed up pregnant at a friend's house. Spay Neuter Jackson County Alabama is beyond GRATEFUL to DDAF for the grant to help with s/n.

Rez Vet's team is home from our latest clinic in Ganado, Arizona. Being able to bring surgical offerings to clinics means more than spay and neuter services- it also means we’re able to do emergency and specialty surgeries. Total pets treated: 406

This adorable little Common Kingsnake came to Gold Country Wildlife Rescue after being caught by a domestic cat. And it wasn’t alone: this was actually the second snake in just one week to arrive after an encounter with an outdoor cat. The other was a Common Garter Snake.

Our team at Rez Vet was recently contacted by a friend in the Navajo Nation government shortly before we left for our September clinic to see if we could assist with an Elder who needs help. Thank you to Doris Day Animal Foundation for making care like this possible!

“Hi! My name is Sidney!” I’m a beautiful Golden Retriever/Pit Bull mix, and my story with @guardianangels@MediServiceDogs @guardianangels started when I was just 8 weeks old. Guardian Angels rescued me and brought me to their campus, where I was raised, loved, and trained.

Lucy had diabetes and many complications from diabetes. Last month Lucy unfortunately passed, but your kind gift to @thepetfund helped her owner with the financial burden of her treatment.

Luke came to Friends of MACC shelter as a puppy in 2024. 2 years later, due to unexpected circumstances, he was returned to us. In April, we noticed he was having trouble walking and suspected a cruciate tear. His foster cared for him lovingly after surgery and adopted him!

Funding from DDAF is helping @AWLMC keep up on routine medical care for Ash, Brutus, Harper, and all of the other cats in our shelter - so they can stay healthy and find homes soon!

Ziggy has heart disease and requires ongoing testing to ensure that his medication levels are correct. DDAF's grant to @thepetfund helped with Ziggy's care as well as receiving funding from other donors as well.

These photos are from two of the colonies @saveacatorg manages . The cats recognize the people who feed them and come out eagerly, though any other time, they try to stay hidden. They are all well-fed and have good body conditions, as you can see.
