Put everything I've learnt building my trading bot into one article.
What's worked, what's gone badly wrong, the fixes, and why I reckon every trader should try building one, even if it's just to see how emotional their own trading is.
Long on $S at 0.05615. It's dropped back near the lows and the daily's still bullish on my indicator, so I'm happy buying it down here.
Stop's under yesterday's low at 0.05542, target 0.05869 just under yesterday's high, about 3.5R.
15m's still pointing down so it might sweep that low first, that's why the stop's below it.

There's nothing more expensive than a cheap prop firm.
@TraderMayne built one from the ground up.
Here's how they actually work, and how to pick one that pays:

Tapped into this here <3
Watching $INJ for a long. It broke out of its range this afternoon, spiked to 9.2 and gave it all back, but the 1h and daily are still bullish on my indicator.
They're sat around 8.47 at the bottom of the range, stop under yesterday's low at 8.21 and target 9.30 just under last week's high, which works out at 3.2 to 1.
Anyone who bought that breakout's underwater now, I'd prefer to enter lower down if it gives.

Most people read the long/short ratio the wrong way round.
It just shows how many accounts are long vs short, so 1.5 means one and a half longs for every short. What most people do is see loads of longs and jump in with them.
But every long has a stop or a liquidation price underneath it, so the more longs there are, the more fuel there is sat below price, and price loves going to grab it.
So when it's heavy on one side, the better side is usually the other one. Too many longs is how you get those big wicks down that wipe everyone out, too many shorts is how you get squeezes.
Right now retail's long on Binance, OKX and Bybit, around 1.5 to 1.7, even though over half this poll says they're bearish. So I'd be careful chasing $BTC longs here until some of them get flushed out.
It's not a timing tool on its own, a crowded side can stay crowded for a while, but I'd rather not be the last one piling in.
Stopped out on BNB again....
Second go at a $BNB short. The first one got stopped at breakeven on the bounce, but the daily's still bearish on my indicator so I've put a sell limit in at 730.50.
Stop's above yesterday's high at 737.40 so a sweep of it won't take me out, target's still 707.90 just above last week's low, which is about 3.3 to 1.
Same idea as yesterday, just giving it a bit more room.
Putting stops to entry on this one here.
Took a long on $AAVE. It's pulled back into demand and my indicator's still bullish on the daily and the 15m, so I'm in at 147.95.
Stop's under yesterday's low at 146.21, target 154.28 just under yesterday's high, roughly 3.6 to 1.
Just needs to hold here now.

Got stopped on this one.
Just longed cosmos:native. Both the 15m and daily are bullish on my indicator, and after breaking yesterday's high this morning and running to nearly 1.80 it's pulled back into a fair value gap.
Got in at 1.736, stop under yesterday's high at 1.714, target 1.787 just under today's high, a bit over 2 to 1.
As long as it holds above that old high I reckon it has another crack at the top.
GM!
$BTC got just over 83k early yesterday but couldn't hold it, it's back around 81.5k this morning and $ETH's still hanging around 2.4k.
Started the new Breakout account that I won courtesy of @c2mtrading so a huge shoutout to him <3 it's in profit already, so both accounts are in the green!
Bot's ok, took a couple of hits yesterday on kava:native and $CRV, but its $BTC long from last week's dip closed as a winner and it's gone short $BTC and $ETH since, both up so far.
Also building a grid bot for gold at the minute, it's been stuck in a range for about three weeks so it feels like a good fit. Has anyone here got any experience with them?

Got limit orders set for a long on hedera-hashgraph:native. My indicator's still got the daily bullish, so I'm looking to buy the dip at 0.08185, just above yesterday's low.
Stop's under last week's low at 0.07958 and the target's 0.08953 just under yesterday's high, so it's 3.4 to 1.
15m's still bearish, which is fine, it needs to dip a bit more to get to my orders anyway. If it bounces without me then fair enough.

You can't buy a track record. You have to build one.
Moved my SL to profit on this one with the wick up to close to our stops but the market is volatile here so being cautious
Looking to short $BNB. It swept the highs around 730 and failed with a bearish SFP, and both the 15m and daily are bearish on my indicator, so with the trend.
Order at 727.86, stop above the highs at 731.22, target 707.87 just above last week's low, nearly 6 to 1.
Tight stop on this one so if it pops back over 731 I'm out.
