🇵🇸 Pep Guardiola spoke about the lives lost in Gaza and the suffering of Palestinian refugees:
"They are not dead. They are people who have been murdered. They are not numbers. They are lives that had names, faces, families, dreams and memories. They are not collateral damage. They are children. And when we stop calling things by their names, when we accept language that hides the pain, we begin to lose our humanity."
"We are living through a very dark moment in our history. We see children in Gaza searching for their parents among the rubble, crying for help, going hungry and being left alone."
"We see them lose everything before they have even had the chance to grow up. And the hell continues. Alongside it, so does the dehumanisation of the Palestinian people."
"Their lives matter just as much as ours. Their suffering is not someone else's problem. Let us not forget that. Solidarity with Palestine cannot take a break. No, neither can our responsibility."
"As of today, the Israeli government has killed more than 74,000 people in Gaza and continues to obstruct the entry of humanitarian aid. While Gaza continues to be devastated, demolitions of Palestinian homes and forced displacement in the West Bank also continue."
"In this context, it is important to remember that, for millions of Palestinian refugees, the suffering did not begin yesterday. They have spent decades living through displacement, violence, loss, grief, trauma, uncertainty and injustice. And yet, they continue to move forward."
"We deeply admire the resilience of the Palestinian people. But they should not have to be resilient. No people should have to spend generations proving their ability to endure suffering. No childhood should be spent learning how to survive before learning how to live."
"Palestine matters, and Palestine needs justice and peace. Now."
"Thank you very much." ❤️

Pep is NOT fucking around:
“We are living through a very dark time in our history. We see girls and boys in Gaza searching for their parents among the rubble...We watch them lose everything before they’ve even had a chance to grow up. And the hell continues, and with it, the dehumanisation of the Palestinian people.
Their lives matter as much as ours. Their pain is not unfamiliar. Let’s not forget. Solidarity with Palestine cannot take a break. Neither can our responsibility.”

🇵🇸❤️ Pep Guardiola has delivered a powerful and emotional message about the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza:
🗣️ Guardiola: "They are not dead, they are people who have been killed. They are not numbers. They are lives with names, faces, families, dreams, and memories.
When we stop calling things by their rightful names, when we accept a language that hides the pain, we begin to lose our humanity.
We are living through a very dark period of our history.
We see children in Gaza searching for their parents under the rubble, asking for help, suffering from hunger, left alone. We watch them lose everything before they even have the chance to grow up.
And this hell continues; along with it, the dehumanisation of the Palestinian people persists.
Their lives are as important as ours. Their pain is not foreign to us. Let us not forget this.
To date, the Israeli government has killed more than 74,000 people in Gaza and continues to block the entry of humanitarian aid. As Gaza continues to be destroyed, the demolition of Palestinians' homes and forced displacements in the West Bank persist.
For decades, they have lived with displacement, violence, loss, grief, trauma, uncertainty, and injustice. Today, silence is a form of taking sides. And we will not remain silent. Please keep talking about Palestine. Keep defending humanity in the face of indifference."

Unrelated, but related.
A few days ago in Cape Verde, I used (yet another) road named after Nkrumah.
You cannot tell me that an ENTIRE continent adores a man, 60 years after his death, over several generations, because he was not good for them. We cannot all be wrong.
It's OK (and good, even) for us to accurately mention his excesses, but we know what Nkrumah's overarching aims and actions were for. And that makes me sleep well at night.
Some American did a short documentary on Nkrumah and had this to say about him. This is clear that, if they make us forget or paint even Nkrumah black, then no leader can ever be sufficient for us, we will see all of them as greedy(of course some are but not all). Money will be the reasons why we wanna rule too and they will look for the greediest amongst us to fund.

I love Semenyo but if he plays for Man City this weekend, man will have a lot of explanation to do in the future.
He's the most in-form Ghanaian in the world but he should not be allowed to show up when he wants.

🇵🇸❤️ Incredible scenes in Turkey tonight as Konyaspor hosted Palestine in a special match filled with tributes to Palestinian victims.
The game was symbolically stopped at 89:59, with the message: “THE MATCH IS SUSPENDED UNTIL PALESTINE IS FREE.” ✊
Giant tifos filled the stands, banners remembered athletes and journalists who have been killed, Palestinian flags were everywhere, while toys were thrown onto the pitch for children.
A powerful night of solidarity. 🇹🇷🤝🇵🇸

Martin Kpebu, a Private Legal Practitioner, has weighed in on the EOCO-Manhyia South MP standoff.
According to him, EOCO should have followed the proper procedure by going through the Speaker of Parliament, as Section 20 requires the arresting body to make an application to the Speaker before proceeding.
