Martina Arroyo, the African-American and Puerto Rican operatic soprano who broke barriers at the Metropolitan Opera from the 1960s to the 1980s, has passed at age 90. She was one of the first major Black stars on the international stage and a Kennedy Center Honoree. RIP.
