Harvest is about more than what's in the field. It's about who's coming home from it. As another harvest season begins, take a moment to put safety at the top of your checklist. Harvest Safety Musts ✅Prep equipment early – Breakdowns are a stressful situation ✅Check all lights & markers – Be seen, stay safe ✅Slow down on public roads – It’s not just your life on the line ✅Get rest – Exhaustion leads to mistakes ✅Look up – Power lines and electrical hazards may be above. Stay alert Grain Bin Safety – No Shortcuts 🚫Lock out & tag out ALL moving equipment 🚫Cover every floor opening 🚫NEVER enter a bin alone ✅Harness + lifeline = lifesaver 🚫Don’t “walk down” grain – it’s a trap 🚫Ditch loose clothing – it can catch in a heartbeat The harvest is important, but your life, your family, and your future matter more. Because the most important thing you bring home this harvest isn't the crop. It's YOU! For more information check the link in the comments @ILSoybean @ilcorn

🚨TAKE ACTION: Protect American Beef Production 🚨 on.ilfb.org/3URnT1M Illinois Farm Bureau and Illinois Beef Association are asking you to urge Congress and the White House to protect #American #beef production. An additional 660 million pounds of foreign beef is set to enter the U.S. over just 90 days at prices 25% below market value, undercutting American beef producers. Now is not the time. Farmers need long-term market stability, allowing producers to rebuild the U.S. cattle herd, increase American beef production and ensure consumers have access to a safe, abundant and affordable food supply.

Taking a moment to remember why we get to enjoy all the little things in life. Happy #MemorialDay ❤️ 🤍 💙

Thank you to the more than 1,300 Illinois Farm Bureau members who answered the call to action and made their voices heard. We also thank members of the Illinois Congressional delegation, Reps @RepBost , @RepLaHood , and @RepMaryMiller , for listening to farmers and supporting passage of the #FarmBill in the U.S. #House, along with @HouseAgGOP and Chairman G.T. Thompson for their leadership.

Happy Easter Weekend! Sharing a special message from Will County member Dave Kestel, who continues the tradition of planting a cross each year and a meaningful reminder of faith, agriculture, and the season of renewal.
